I can see a lot of similarities with Quinn and Cattermole, lots of passion and love for the club, but little in terms of ability, if we're being honest.

I remember him differently, maybe you lot saw a lot more of him. What sort of price tag we looking at today, how much was Crouch @ £10m? Fair.

As much as I disagree with Quinn on most things he says he wouldn't be a very good pundit if he didn't give an opinion... You should know by now that Sky do controversial things just to get a response, just like pretty much every other media outlet in the world.

When Quinn was 35 he was playing the PL, he made 39 appearances and scored 6 times.

Zlatan has scored 8 times in 17 games.

I can see why you're making excuses mate, but facts are facts, Quinn's best years at Sunderland come in the lower divisions, more his level I'd say.

Anyway, I only judge him on his pundit credentials of which he has none, he's destined for the scrap heap if we're honest.

You'd imagine we did unless you were going to all our games for some reason, ten mil is about right. Just happened that him and Phillips had a telepathic understanding and it worked brilliantly but I wouldn't expect him to have been as useful without a partner on the same wavelength.

Essentially, Phillips was the goal scorer but it wouldn't have happened without Quinn.
