Don't bother with the 2nd half, we shut down, stopped playing.

Rooney had a great game, it's not happened a lot lately but it usually means the team does well when it does happen.

Ok. Ive got Fox on, watching the nutty yanks.

Gun sales have soared as we head to the elections.<laugh>

Maybe at 35 Zlatan should have looked for a gentler pasture in which he could transition into retirement. He has been playing professional football in top divisions since 1999. That's a lot of mileage.

That's Niall Quinn... passing judgement on one of the best strikers in the world. He really is a clueless, useless, drunken idiot. The sooner he is sacked by Sky the better for planet Earth.

Maybe not the best board to write that on, but the guy is a ****ing gimp of the highest order.

Zlatan is still superb and looks fit as hell. Gotta few more years left yet.

Age is a number mate, Zlatan's on 8 for the season now. Anybody who expected him to score like he did in France one goal every game, is a nugget.

Quinn is in no position to be handing out advice to players like that, he's a ****ing bitter nobody.

He is class mate, and entitled to an opinion as we all are, a lot on here slam Merson but for me he is O.K., sometimes I agree sometimes I dont, thats football. KOSNQ. <ok>

Of course he's entitled to an opinion, but as a paying Sky customer, I'm entitled to call his opinion absolute dog ****. He's trying to say the league is too much for Zlatan, he's wrong and it's not a matter of opinion.

I stand corrected, on another issue, I found out yesterday that myself and Sir Alex agree on scrapping the offside rule once and for all. My opinion is laughed at in my household, but in such company I might be taken seriously, any thoughts ?

I agree it's a **** rule.

Scrapping the offside rule? Totally? So a player can just stand talking to an opposition goalkeeper whilst the action is down the other end????

My thoughts are that I've got no time for people talking utter ****. Sorry.

You've just done the equivalent of walking into the Vatican and kneeing the Pope in the gonads :emoticon-0184-tmi:

That's a no-no round here Tel. :emoticon-0145-shake

Yes. It'll be a goalfest.

Nah, I would miss the enjoyment of seeing an intricately slotted ball between two defenders being met by a well timed run beating the offside trap! Getting rid of the offside rule would just spread the play, defenders would have to sit deep and players would just have more time on the ball, the game would slow down. Players of the likes of James McClean would have a field day, their stock would go up. A player with little pace but excellent vision and passing would be made redundant, so its a no from me.
