Dawson

You have two players who proved their ability with us last time they where in the Championship and showed they where clearly good enough in the Premier League. Dawson was impressive in his first year with us, if we kept him and built the defence around him and Chester that would be the foundation for our promotion back to the PL.
 
The quality of the league is much better this time around, for me we don't just need grafters, we need players who are more skillful than the opposition as well.

I'd keep Chester, Robertson and Dawson.

Although I'm waiting for somebody to pop in and pinch Max Clark and take him to a better academy. Like Barnet.
 
I can still see Chester, Robertson, Diame, McGregor, Hudd, Jela, Hernandez, N'Doye and Brady going before the season starts.

Possibly Daws, Elmo and Snodger as well.

Chester will definitely be on his way.
 
1) Hernandez - not the most prolific striker but can't fault his fighting spirit <whistle>
2) Tom Ince - this one serious - showed in his brief loan spell that he is very capable in the Championship
3) Jelavic - if fit (and willing to commit) will score for fun against Championship defences IMHO ...

I can't be arsed to properly analyse this thread, but interesting that of those who've named 3 there's an awful lot of difference between the choices
 
Jelavic/Diame/Chester, need a quality base to build a team around, would have swapped Dawson for Chester if he was Chesters age

Not saying he's a better player than those two, I just wanted us to keep him and Rosenior more than anyone else because they were great players to watch and support. It'd be a shame to lose Dawson or Chester but frankly they deserve to be in the PL.

I'm torn, I really want Dawson to stay but I want to see Maguire in the team next year and can't see them working together given their pace. For that reason I'd go:
Chester
Robertson
Elmo

McGregor
Elmo Chester Maguire Robertson
Meyler Quinn/Diame
Ince Snodgrass Brady
New

My hopeful team, weak at the back but we'd aim to win most games 7-6
