An Allam verbal agreement? or something in writing?

The club may not be in a good place to turn down half decent offers for any players, so what would constitute a half decent offer in this case?

    Anybody?

A gentleman's agreement apparently and I assume a half decent offer is anything above what we paid for him.

I'm not sure I'd keep just three players....didn't Blackpool try that and it went tits up or down in their case.

    Rosie, Macca & Chester
Rosie & Macca will be off.
    Chester could well be off.

This is not a good week for me.

Didn't help that they appointed Lee Clarke as manager and all.

I personally think Elmo is holding us back or at least Bruce's obsession to base our entire style behind one wingback is.

I see what you're saying but I dont think it's that, I think it's our over reliance on him that is holding us back. We have nothing marauding down the left in similar style so we're very predictable and easy to hold-off. This is precisely why I'd sell Brady and use Ince.

Oh, and I mean I wouldnt have wing backs - they'd be right and left with full-backs behind them.
Assuming expected sales my first XI would be:

    New GK

New RB / Lenihan Chester Dawson Robertson

    Elmo Diame Quinn Ince

    Snodgrass

    New Striker

Bit weak defensively on the left but I'd try it and Snodgrass and Ince can fluidly interchange as required to offer more pace up front and double-up to provide defensive cover on the left. Even without additions it leaves us with a bloody strong bench.

A gentleman's agreement is all well and good when you're dealing with a gentleman.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Correct - though it would be Jelavic terrorising the championship defenders ...

Our best and the league's best player last time we were in the Championship, what a ludicrous choice...

He really wasn't. Barely anyone noticed him outside of Hull.

Barely anyone believed us when we said how good Curtis Davies had been last season, doesn't change the fact that he was.

Aluko only played half a season in the Championship.

If he's played wide left i dont have problem with him.

If we try to play him as a striker I can give you a whole list of MLS players who would score more goals than him.

I'm happy for him to play up front in a two, just not on his own. He looked brilliant alongside a fairly average Jay Simpson, I've no doubt he'll flourish alongside a talented strike partner.
