Rowett has said that our situation needs experienced heads rather than youngsters. Daka and Ayew have plenty of that, but precious little else when it comes to scoring goals. A bit of youthful enthusiasm might come in handy if he can get a striker from somewhere in the club and get them to train with the first team during the international break.
Wholly agree - a confident youngster with no fear factor would be great - I'm old enough to remember a kid called Dave Buchanon scoring both goals in a 2-0 win against Oldham on debut at Filbert St - another teenager made his debut in that game - played in midfield and was pretty anonymous - hauled either at, or just after, half-time... name of Gary Lineker ... probably never amounted to much
