Pandur started shakily for us when he came , maybe last night was Phillip’s shaky start- although not coming for one cross was worrying !

same conversation with about 5 utd fans last night at footy, my view was he did well for us in points per game where we'd started in a laughably **** position, but last 7 felt like we only played for a draw, that said it's only been one game and they were up against a top 6 team who played a perfect away game, just sat so so deep and hit em on the break, can't blame manager for players making **** passes or missing good chances, basically time will tell but don't write him off just yet

Agreed.

Crazy decision blowing Wilder out. The Blunts lost highly rated defensive midfielder Souza who held things together and two very important players including the big Centre back to Dutch Football and Brizzle saw the opportunity and had a field day. Hardly the best start getting done proper at home in front of home fans split by Wilders sacking . Never did like on the field lectures aka Phil Brown but would be surprised if they don’t push to top 6.

UTT.

I don't think it was blind panic. Racioppi didn't want to stay. Timothy needs games. It's rare to have an excellent backup keeper unless you're in the Premier League or a parachute club. If we'd have signed Rushworth, there's no way Pandur would have stayed for the season.

Pandur stayed last season despite us signing Rushworth.

Based on th competition winner we had in goal last night... we have lauded the goat signings of the brains trust. What I cant get my had round is, we let Timothy go out on loan and are probably paying som of his wages. Same with HC? we made Shelvey earn a contract, we made Williams earn a contract and yet we signed a division 1 keeper as back up in what seems like blind panic without knowing what we now know he cannot do.
I do think TLT going out on loan to Donny is the right decision as a good season there and he could well be our number 1 next season if/when Pandur is sold. With hindsight we might as well of kept Matt Ingram last summer as a reliable solid backup keeper instead of Racioppi who was on ridiculous wages and now a league one cast off.

He was the absolute ideal second choice keeper Ingram. It's weird how he left us for games yet has been Oxford's second choice anyway!

Presumably, Vaughan is either injured or close to a loan away, as you would have imagined that last night would have been an ideal opportunity to give him a chance at some point.

We don't like those though do we.

So Ajayi is out already. Didn’t take long did it. Jeez. We’ve signed two good defender both injury prone as he’ll.
Major concern this for me as famewo has a history of picking up a lot of injuries , could potentially only leave us with Egan and Hughes and the latter missed a good chunk of last season

What’s the latest on Ajayi? Played the full 90 against Coventry so I can only assume he felt something in training after?

SJ initially said he could've played at Wrexham but was being managed. Now the latest seems to be that it looks bad and he's having a scan, today I think.

I think its that he felt it after the game so wasn't risked but he's still feeling it so going for a scan to check its ok. So could be nothing or could be reasonable period of recovery
