Does last nights performance add even more to Pandurs value, not to other clubs but what he's worth to us
Agreed. Crazy decision blowing Wilder out. The Blunts lost highly rated defensive midfielder Souza who held things together and two very important players including the big Centre back to Dutch Football and Brizzle saw the opportunity and had a field day. Hardly the best start getting done proper at home in front of home fans split by Wilders sacking . Never did like on the field lectures aka Phil Brown but would be surprised if they don’t push to top 6. UTT.
I do think TLT going out on loan to Donny is the right decision as a good season there and he could well be our number 1 next season if/when Pandur is sold. With hindsight we might as well of kept Matt Ingram last summer as a reliable solid backup keeper instead of Racioppi who was on ridiculous wages and now a league one cast off.
He was the absolute ideal second choice keeper Ingram. It's weird how he left us for games yet has been Oxford's second choice anyway!
So Ajayi is out already. Didn’t take long did it. Jeez. We’ve signed two good defender both injury prone as he’ll.
Presumably, Vaughan is either injured or close to a loan away, as you would have imagined that last night would have been an ideal opportunity to give him a chance at some point.
Major concern this for me as famewo has a history of picking up a lot of injuries , could potentially only leave us with Egan and Hughes and the latter missed a good chunk of last season
What’s the latest on Ajayi? Played the full 90 against Coventry so I can only assume he felt something in training after?
SJ initially said he could've played at Wrexham but was being managed. Now the latest seems to be that it looks bad and he's having a scan, today I think.
I think its that he felt it after the game so wasn't risked but he's still feeling it so going for a scan to check its ok. So could be nothing or could be reasonable period of recovery
At least we have Egan and the other chap as good cover. Still think it was a gamble worth taking. Imagine if we get 30 games out of him this season, which is in line with his injury record.
I like the look of Lundstram but I do think we and he would be better off if he played as a box-crashing number 8 instead of Slater and we had someone else playing deeper.
