His gut is that McBurnie is going to say no but did say that was if he was pushed and things could change.

He then said of Frigan that if the EFL reduce the ban to a point City can spend that a deal around £4m/£5m seems doable.

Although I took generally from his tone his guess is that Kyle Joseph will be the main striker and we may see a Pedro-esque signing to provide further cove to him.

If we get fee restriction reduced to just this window and we can’t play Puerta or Laalaoui could we do a player swap loan deal for Frigan till Jan then buy him and register the other 2 then?.
In another day, I would agree, but under embargo we are a bit forced to wait anyone free agent.

Not sure how we could given the suggestion is that neither are registered as of yet, all a bit of guesswork at the minute until things are ratified.

I do get the feeling it could be a bit similar to last season with a lack of goals costing us. We have a built a very decent team despite the restrictions but where are the goals coming from? Kamara & Crooks might get a few each, Palmer maybe but who else? I feel like we do really need Mcburnie.

We seem to be platforming our most creative players Giles & Drameh so that at the very least we will create. That was the issue last year, we sacrificed all attacking play to be super solid. We didn’t struggle to create early doors under Selles imo until that international break where we seemingly sacked it off afterwards

Have we got an option to buy ndala?

No. We’re prohibited from committing to paying a fee as well so no options or obligations to buy later. It’s why the Frigan deal was a no-go.

Speaking of which, if by some miracle the fee restriction is suspended and we can pay fees again this window, I think I’d rather the club sign Frigan for £6M+ than McBurnie. Due to the fee restriction, we haven’t gone mad with fees like in previous seasons under Acun. PSR shouldn’t be an issue either as we’ve sold a few players for decent fees and you can amortise purchases over the length of the contract. The main worry is cash flow. We’d have to pay a portion to Westerlo right now with future instalments, which would add to the £20M or so we already owe in future transfer fee instalments.

Would be interested to see how far spread that £20m is. Would imagine it’s 3 years max given the restrictions

So we couldn’t have an option to buy in Jan or summer that kicks in if the restrictions get reduced to one window ?
