The hearing is early next week. Deliberations don’t take long usually so will know before Saturday probably.
Not sure how we could given the suggestion is that neither are registered as of yet, all a bit of guesswork at the minute until things are ratified.
I do get the feeling it could be a bit similar to last season with a lack of goals costing us. We have a built a very decent team despite the restrictions but where are the goals coming from? Kamara & Crooks might get a few each, Palmer maybe but who else? I feel like we do really need Mcburnie.
Bet365 got Enis Destan @ 100/1 to become the leagues top goal scorer No other City player on their list
We seem to be platforming our most creative players Giles & Drameh so that at the very least we will create. That was the issue last year, we sacrificed all attacking play to be super solid. We didn’t struggle to create early doors under Selles imo until that international break where we seemingly sacked it off afterwards
No. We’re prohibited from committing to paying a fee as well so no options or obligations to buy later. It’s why the Frigan deal was a no-go. Speaking of which, if by some miracle the fee restriction is suspended and we can pay fees again this window, I think I’d rather the club sign Frigan for £6M+ than McBurnie. Due to the fee restriction, we haven’t gone mad with fees like in previous seasons under Acun. PSR shouldn’t be an issue either as we’ve sold a few players for decent fees and you can amortise purchases over the length of the contract. The main worry is cash flow. We’d have to pay a portion to Westerlo right now with future instalments, which would add to the £20M or so we already owe in future transfer fee instalments.
Would be interested to see how far spread that £20m is. Would imagine it’s 3 years max given the restrictions
True. At best, we’ve probably only paid a third of the fees we spent last season so £20M being owed adds up.
I’d get Brandon Williams signed sharpish. He looks quality, can play both sides and another one we can sell on for profit if he has a good season with us.
Good to hear we've given McBurnie a deadline to make up his mind.. should have done this earlier once we had the salary cap removed.
So we couldn’t have an option to buy in Jan or summer that kicks in if the restrictions get reduced to one window ?
I’d like him back at City. Rangers are utter ****e, but that’s the ****ey new manager. City definitely got the better new manager of my 2 teams.
