Selles has done one…

Selles should be given a chance by providing him with a decent squad in the summer. It's anyone's guess what he would have done with Delap and co but I have more faith in him moving forward than with any previous manager in recent times. I hope if Acun's team reads this forum it will strengthen his case to stay knowing he gets the majority vote on here to continue.

If the owner is willing to learn from his mistakes, and pays more attention to building an entertaining and successful club, I think he should stay. If he can't commit to this with his many other business interests, or financial issues holding him back, now would be a good time to sell up. Clear out the yes men, bring in people who understand English football and stop sending over second raters from Turkey and abroad who mainly have very little impact on making this a top six club.

Mike White can be overly dramatic - but Baz certainly isn't contradicting him by saying "Ruben's future is not cut and dried and there will be conversations had in the coming days".

C'mon. This is the owner who thought he could do better than Rosenior - the most successful coach he's appointed yet and who's just beaten PSG.

I'm expecting another unjustified sacking, another left-field wildcard-appointment whist doing the footballing equivalent of chucking the whole deck in the air and hoping it lands in a flush again this summer.

Cos why wouldn't I?
I agreed with the Rosenior sacking
He's a good manager but too much wasting of time in our own half which resulted in opponents team being ready for when we decided to move forward
Selles saw that we didnt have any attacking threat and so we needed to not concede many goals
Our forwards would get the ball and didnt have the confidence to take on defenders and they would pass back to the midfield or full backs

Agree, but would you not rather have a 3 year plan with Dyche at the helm? in a hypothetical situation.
i agree with everybody that we need stability and a long term plan and patience, but we need those things with the right man at the helm.
not saying that isnt Selles, like many others i am undecided, but we need to get the right man and stick with him, not just stick with the man in the seat, just cos he is currently in that seat.

Every manager we get they say it’s a 3 year plan just no one gets anywhere near that, if he stuck to letting the manager have 3 years Rosenior would probably still be here.

i bet selles is not even under consideration to be sacked and its all a load of bullshit, seriously

I would expect he probably is.

After the Derby game, 90% of this forum yourself included said he needed to go. Most have swung back again like the typical bi-polar football fan.

We know Acun is trigger happy, he’s definitely got to be thinking about it. I think his hands are tied though, same with Walter. Hes got this reputation like Watfords owners that he needs to dispel so even if he wants to sack Selles, I don’t think he will this summer.

Is there even any evidence that Selles won't be here next season? I assume he signed more than a 6 month contract?

Nonsense to think that a manager like Dyche or equivalent (whatever that means) is lined up.

All I see is that they've changed some of the back room staff and it's the down season so people need an excuse to post?

its local journalists who said it, 2 hours after the game

I really hope selles has been told his jods safe and this is just the club dragging out any announcement as usual.

and then I think the longer this goes on the less chance he’s staying :)

Who is in a job at Plymouth, who would require compensation. I thought we were hard up. Why don't we spend on a ****ing striker who we DO need.

That's the issue isn't it?

Can't attract/afford a decent striker so relying on some sort of miracle worker head coach to find goals from somewhere without having the tools to provide them on a consistent basis.

Basically coach carries the can for the failure in recruitment.

Could get a striker or 2 with the money it would cost to get rid of the staff and bring new staff in it’s stupid to even consider it if they are thinking about that.
