I don’t think effort was a problem in Saturday - it was more lack of ideas.
Agree completely. The idea that the players don't care or lack effort is trotted out virtually every time we have a bad result this season. It was clear the team were working really hard on Saturday, which is why Derby could barely get out of their own half for much of the second half. It's lack of ideas especially in the final third which has been our achilles heel all season, not lack of effort.

Not lack of effort

We are just ****e

Barry with 4 games, 0 goals, 0 assists, who's not played a competitive game for months.
I know we are desperate, but starting him, or even bringing him on from the bench, would be beyond desperate (imo - do we need to caveat every time now?).

Half of those FA Cup goals were a hattrick against non-league opposition.

true, but the same three goals were scored against a team that will be a league team next season and another third of those fa cup goals were against a team currently 6th in the premier league.

Ok, admittedly straws, clutching, at……when Abu was put in front of the media firing squad, wasn’t it for messaging his bestie on SM, from Portsmouth?? Can he now message him, not on SM, obviously, asking for a huge favour this Sat, please, pretty please.

Edit….SM = social media :emoticon-0114-dull:

Its worth a hope

Any hope beyond hope

Maybe being in fratton park again
Will turn kamara into his prime and he smashes a hat trick

Sinik sums up Acuns time with us I think as owner, the Emperor's new Clothes of a player. Just give the diehards a free holiday or two and everything is ok, even sacking a manager achieving a p7 finish in his second season who had proper connections to Hull as a player and a family man. What is Selles connection to Hull? Even poor old Slutsky made an effort to go to Hull fair. The owners appointment of Walter sums up his football brain I'm afraid . I'm not usually on here during the week so just want to say thanks to all the fans on here for their comments even if I don't agree with them and thanks to the ones going to places like Portsmouth at the weekend and filling out the stadium every week.

Everyone's saying we need to forget about a draw, go for the win. But I really don't think it's as simple as that. Obviously a win is ideal, but what is our best chance of staying up? If we lose we're down, and we're in very poor form. So like it or not, we do have to entertain the possibility that a draw might be all we can get and we might have to hang onto that. If we concede first you really wouldn't fancy this side's chances of getting back into it, so we can't do that. To some extent we will have to keep it tight, stay in the game and keep ourselves in a position where we have the luxury of looking at other scores in the second half and deciding what to do. If we're a goal down and chasing it then we'll already have one foot in League 1.

Seems to me we've been playing draws for the last few matches
