I always feel concerned when the younger players are released, especially those perceived to have promise. It must be a worrying time for them and their families, having worked so hard to get where they have. I hope they all find clubs where they can make progress. Once a Bluebird, always a Bluebird.
It's a ruthless business.
A very, very small percentage make it.
As you say, fingers crossed for their futures.

Those released are not perceived to have promise. Its a tough game which they should understand as most have been in the club a few years. They will have seen others leave the same way.

Very few have made a solid career elsewhere after leaving. That's the nature of the game.

Not got a good attitude, not what you want in the team
Robbie I was watching a tv doc on football cops. Highlighted the Cov v Sunderland fixture as a major grudge match.
This was caused in 1977 when Jimmy Hill persuaded the FA to allow Coventry to delay their kick off v Brizzle C by 15 minutes which meant the Sunderland fixture with Everton finished earlier so once they finished - Sunderland lost - the tannoy at Highfield Rd announced the result meaning Cov & Brizzle were able to play out their game (2-2 at the time) without breaking sweat enabling both to gain the single point to each avoid relegation and send Sunderland down.

We let Leahy go and now Crole and Zimba, so much for Bulut bring younger players through. However they were not going to get any gametime so good luck to them. Josh Murphy has got a lot of interest from a few clubs after helping Oxford win the play offs though not Mark Harris even though he scored 19 goals.

I watched that too. Never realised Coventry had such a rowdy following....

Note to self, don't pop into the Wheatsheaf for a pre-game pint if I go up there for a City game!! <laugh>

In answer to our resident numpty.

Conte, Ashford, Colwill Junior and the other lad (sorry his name escapes me) who got some time in the last few games. Were they not youngsters who were given a chance by Bulut? Plus King, Bagan, Davies and Evans returning from loans where they did well.

We don't see the other youngsters in training or Under Age games so are not able to comment.

However Bulut and his guys see them regularly and are in the best position to judge.

If every one was retained there would be little or no space for incoming transfers.

The simple fact is not everyone will make the grade.

Is that enough schooling for you? Once again showing you know very little about professional football.

Not quite right nin, the police decided to delay ko as all the Bristol fans weren't in the ground, but JH displayed the final score at Sunderland on the scoreboard and BOTH sets of players played pass ball for the last 10 mins. Sunderland fans never blame Bristol for the game, but they ( Sunderland) weren't good enough over the whole season, not just the last game..

As far as midfielders go Ralls 7 assists and Wintle 4 assists....don`t ask about the soppy guy.
