Same. He has off games defensively but don’t they all. His 10m+ defensive partner also does (eg the mags game). If you look at his positives 09 must be one of if not the best distributors of the ball in the league. Would love to see the stats for this @Scout73 @SourPatch2 ? And if they prove me wrong I was right anyway.
His progressive passing and carrying numbers are top class.

I worry about him defensively, in the air specifically, but at this level you don't really get complete players. I'd be more than comfortable with him playing in the outside CB slot if 3 at the back is how we are going to play if Svensson is appointed.

Hume is also really good at progressing the ball forward.

I thought it was interesting that he wins more defensive duels that Jake Cooper, who folk rave about. Cooper wins more aerial duels but o9 wins more tackles etc

Buck stops with one man. Dreyfus. He appoints thoise below him to manage and run the club. He is the one who chooses the personnel at the management level, as others have stated over the past twelve or so months, he rubber stamps appointments. At a guess, I'd say he was the man in charge.
I don't disagree but you seem to want to pull the pin on the grenade? I want to know why, is it because there were some mistakes last year or is it because we have had a poor season or maybe you don't like KS. Just trying to find out why you want KLD gone because for me he has done well in general over the last 3 years, sure some mistakes have been made and I am sure there will be more but in general he has steered the club out of legacy contracts and given us an identity again.
I guess I would like to know why you think we need a new owner because when I look at other clubs I see financial problems for many and further problems looming for more, then I see us on a sound financial footing looking to build incrementally towards something (that may or may not be realised) that will put the club in a very good place in seasons to come.

It was Neil that wanted that contract, he had similar at preston
And yet he took Stokes hand off for a 3 year contract... When hiring someone I always assumed the the club hiring would hold the cards. After all we were hiring Alex Neil not Pep or Klopp. The escape clause part of his contract wasn't thought through

He has and has also made a monumental mistake in Beale and then writing off a third of the season with Dodds and Proctor but that's old ground now.

Let's see who they come up with - I've a nagging fear that Speakman would love to appoint Dodds but his results have been so bad KLD won't sanction it. They are still a hindrance to getting a decent manager in if they are insisted on being part of the coaching team.

I'm in total agreement with that.

I'm just answering claims that KLD is totally useless and should be booted out.

You could put that forward as a possibility I expect, perhaps it was exactly what we wanted to at the time.

He chose to go, who cares how long his contract was - we improve after he left

Hes the only manager weve appointed on a rolling contract, a contract he has had before so was driven by him

We appointed him to get us promoted, he did that so KLD n co got it spot on - replacing him with TM was spot on

My issue mate is this managerial merry go round has to stop and we need some stability sometime. So if we appointing coaches on the basis of doing a short term job in the hope the next one coming in will be better is playing a dangerous game with the clubs future.

100% agree with that, the issue is we have a vocal minority that will demand a manager is sacked as soon as we have a bad run of form. Hopefully this manager can come in for a few yrs and actually build something

I often find people demanding stability are the same demanding Beale should be sacked ...

... the next man should be supported from the start and given time to succeed or fail.

Not easy I know.

I'm as frustrated as anyone but the term 'total clearout' sends shivers through me.

The owner is building the club back up from almost total destruction. The fabric of the squad, stadium and administration were all shot to pieces and I honestly believe they're all improving or will improve this summer. Some of the work is almost thankless and difficult to see, at times, but the SOL will be a better place to go, the AOL more likely to attract players/coaches and our transfer negotiations better than they've ever been imo.
That is spot on mate and add to that the new shop and teaming up with Fanatics means we are becoming a much better commercial outfit. Improvements have been needed and have started to be improved but I think there is a long way to go in that respect but this really is the first year where we can see KLD vision for the club and it should excite the fans but at the moment a lot of fans don't seem to be able to see the wood as the trees are in the way.

He's a major step up on the previous ownership tbf.

That's all I'm saying, he's made huge improvement with our finances, negotiations and now tackling the stadium, facilities etc. It's not like he came into a fully functional club only needing investment in the squad ... we were an embarrassing shamble under Donald and his slimy little pal.

I think the only 2 managers I wanted booted out was MacMemeny and Wilkinson … I’ve never seen the point in hounding out managers not even Beale.. that said I wasn’t overly sad when he went. But realistically shouldn’t have been hired in the first place

As I've said with Birmingham it's easy to get it totally wrong ...

... the second biggest club in Scotland, with almost guaranteed European football, appointed Beale.

Let's just hope the next appointment is the right one.
