Well I'm certainly not ignorent marra.
And like I said, I'm not setting out to purposely offend.
I'm deffo not going to apologise for wanting to hear the Queen's/King's English spoken correctly, nomatter what accent a person speaks in.
As infants, we were all expected to learn phonetics to the correct standard whilst learning the English alphabet....
every British child did.
Then when we grow older, we all have the choice to pronounce words the way we want.
Cockney rhyming slang is amazing, and humerous. However, it was always delivered correctly eg - Up the apple and pairs (Stairs) - Hampstead Heath (Teeth) ...but now folk say,- Up
ver apples and pairs, and - Hampstead
Heef (
Teeff).....Why though?....there's no need at all.
In short, there is right way, and there is a wrong way.....there's no arguing with that mate.
Sorry if that offends you
