‘May’ suggests an unknown probability. ‘Probably’ suggests it’s more likely than not. Let’s not twist things to better suit your narrative. I have no idea if he’s injured or not, but neither do you.
This is my biggest issue with Rosenior. I like his ambition and the fact he has a clear playing style. He seems like a good motivator and his man-management seems positive. However, he’s something of a bullshit artist and probably a bit naive due to his inexperience. Managers make mistakes. I don’t know why some City fans think Rosenior is immune to making them and that we should trust his judgement all of the time. He got the Ebiowei situation all wrong. Put all his eggs in one basket with that kid in January despite his attitude problems not being a secret. Trust but verify. When Rosenior says he wants robust players in before pre-season begins but is bringing in sick notes, it will set alarm bells ringing over what he says and what he intends to do.
Ffs I know that he's under an injury cloud and I've asked for evidence he's fit. This isn't a court of law, let's drop the "twisting words" line a few are trotting out when it's pretty evident what's being discussed.
Indeed, who knows? All we have to go off is his injury status. Until we have an update, that's the latest.
His Instagram, his final post regarding Everton didn’t mention an injury, just that he played as much as he was allowed. Also his recent posts are him on holiday on yachts and partying in Ibiza, doesn’t look very injured.
It was probably one of those where it was still at the assessment stage of the injury. Ultimately if Liam/Tan/Acun feel its worth the risk they'll sign him and if they don't they won't. It's their money/jobs on the line. What is for sure is that they will have more info on his fitness than anyone on here, so attempting to scrutinise a potential signing based on limited info is a pretty fruitless exercise. If we've seen what was said by Dyche then it's stupid to assume that they haven't.
And City just go along with it because unlike us experts on here, they have no idea of his injury status. Right.
I’m at a loss here. Has LR confirmed the gossip about any of the players linked. Has he said he is going to sign an injury prone player.I’ve not heard diddly squat from him yet he gets questioned( polite way of saying it) as though they are in the building with a squad number. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
You say that like we didn’t sign that Salah M’Hand on loan from Arsenal despite him being injured when we signed him, injured for the entire duration of his loan and injured when we sent him back. I don’t know why some fans find it inconceivable that Tan, Acun and Rosenior can make a mistake when they’ve made mistakes already. This overly-optimistic ‘trust the process’ narrative is just as bad as being overly-negative as it shuts down any debate about transfers and the direction of the club. Reminds me of those Utd fans who thought Solskjær could do no wrong because he was a club legend and ‘he just needed more time to get it right’.
They have all definitely made mistakes but I'd expect them to learn from it now. A torn Achilles is in a completely different ballpark, to the others we signed injured though. It's a horrendous injury and I'd assume we've been speaking to Vinagre and Sporting for some time so we should have been well aware about any injury issues too
You'd think not unless it was one of those where they sign him with checks and balances in place which are dependent on him proving fitness over time - which is again a legitimate thing to do if it leads to a signing we wouldn't normally be able to afford/attract. Again, without knowing details it's all just speculation, but with the likes of Salah he was a loan with an option and went back when he didn't recover so maybe this is a similar kind of deal?
