Only the second time I’ve ever left early but after the second goal went in thought I’d try and beat the traffic. I heard the roar from the visitors for the third on my way down the stairs.

I’ve been trying to convince myself that maybe life in league one will be an improvement in that we won’t get spanked week in and week out.

Unfortunately, the hard reality is that it’s difficult to envisage this team, playing as they now are, winning at any level. We really are as poor a QPR as I’ve ever witnessed.

I’ll still likely spunk a grand on a couple of season tickets next year though.

We played a bit of footy at West Brom and looked like a half decent team. As soon as we went hoof ball looked awful luckily for us WBA were so devoid of any self belief we scraped a point. Made a good few quid today, Coventry were a brilliant bet, we are reliant on one team being worse than us, just not sure if there is one

Right the last two goals...we were chasing the game...we had to take the risk
Ainsworth threw on all our attacking players and their dog too.
We were caught out.

We were beaten by a far better team, but the bottom line was... we do not make chances in front of goals...
Chair had a good free kick saved...and we had one shot saved and one shot passed the post ...3 shots...when we were chasing the game!!!!!


We will never win a game...if we never make chances.
Depressing.... so so YES.

Chair was taken off...we should have played him with Richards/Roberts/Lowe/ Dykes/Willock.

How com a team with 6 really creative players fail to make only 3 chances and 1 from a free kick in a whole match.

These posts are all very negative and I can fully understand that, having lost 3-0 at home. Unfortunately, with our form and with little or no luck going our way, I, too, fear that we are doomed.

The first goal was far too easy: we quickly lost possession from our own throw in and, suddenly, Coventry had an overload down our left-hand side. It looked like a goal from the moment we lost possession and, from then on, we were chasing the game (a recurrent theme this season). We made a habit of giving the ball away throughout the match and, for the second and third goals our defence looked way too slow to prevent the breakaways (another recurrent theme this season). Our centre backs (and today's right back) are so very slow. Laird was an improvement during his cameo appearance. You might get away with a lack of defensive pace, to some extent at least, if they were consistently well organised and well positioned but they're not. As a team, we do lack pace: I understand why we are playing Martin and he is working hard but he, too, is soooo slow. I feel we would be much better off with more youthful energy up front (a large reward is offered for any sighting of Sinclair Armstrong). To make matters worse, we are not getting good crosses in to properly justify Martin's presence. As others have said, Adomah is also showing his age: I saw him jogging back at times when we desperately needed him to help out our full back. Dozzell tried harder today but he just isn't a Championship quality footballer. I also sincerely hope that we can pension off Johansen in the Summer. Lowe: the less said, the better, but Richards could be interesting if he is ever fit for two consecutive matches.

Having got the negatives out the way (and there were rather more than I intended), there WERE positives. I thought the guys worked really hard; they were flying into tackles and fiercely contesting the 50/50's. At one stage, the Coventry players were going down like 9-pins! Whilst we were 1-0 down, I always felt we had a chance of getting an equaliser and we pretty much matched them (or better) from the 10th to the 85th minute (when their second goal went in). We had the better chances during that period and their goalkeeper had to pull off a couple of cracking saves.

Therefore, unlike some commentators, I would generally award good marks for effort but, as you can see from the above, there just seems to be too many weaknesses in the team and it truly is the proverbial miracle required to save us.

October 22 ............... Top of the table and looking good.
April 14 .....................Have won only 2 games out of 26, since then.

10th defeat in 12 outings.
In 20th spot, 1 point above relegation.
Four teams below us.

Am l correct in saying that all four teams have beaten us?

Summary - Reading & Cardiff are our worry, they are both one point below us.

We can't control our destiny because we can't win a game.
What happens with them will determine whether we stay up or go down.

Amos missed out today - injured yet again. Balogun out for the rest of the season with a wet hamstring. These players were cheap/free for a reason. Can we please stay away from signing any more sicknotes.

And how is Richards not starting in front of Dozzell? Gareth’s tried every other midfield combination apart from starting this bloke. Always looks decent when he comes on. FFS Ainsworth start him!!

Yes, one of those games, to be fair I thought Farke would be amazing, however still just touch and go for the play offs. Recent performances had me to believe any points this week would come from the NC game

Strongly agree re Richards. He moves very well - reminds me of Eze and seems to have some skill.

Had no interest in watching it I meant. Always knew the score throughout. I said to my lad that I wouldn't be surprised if Coventry put 4 or 5 past us today, infact any team in this league is capable of doing that. I remember posting way back on here, when we were in the play off positions that our players just weren't good enough, by a long way, to stay up there. There were signs even under the short Beale era that this was going to be a tough season. Wish I had been wrong but when you watch this team live, they just aren't good enough for this standard. We can all put our blinkers on at times but we need to be honest, even who we class as our best players don't even attract any attention from other clubs.

Think I'm already sick of the **** that comes out of Ainsworths mouth in these post match interviews. Not as bad as Critchleys ever were but still piss poor. The players gave everything, so did I, if it isn't good enough then so be it. I feel for the players blah blah blah. The bloke is a walking cliche, he really shouldn't be in this job. Could end up being the worst manager ever at this rate. Certainly from the point of footballing style. The best answer he gave though has to be to the question 'what went wrong today'? ...'not a lot' was his reply. Not a ****ing lot!!!!! Wonder what it looks like when it does go wrong then. Worst appointment ever !

Pretty much my thoughts, we had a good win at Millwall, probably our best performance of the season. Lucky results at Norwich and Sheff Utd but these were interspersed with some awful performances against teams near the bottom including home defeats against West Brom and Huddersfield who were both bottom when we played them. Beale lost 4 of his last 5 before jumping ship. Then the injuries began to pile up along with the World Cup and after that it was nosedive time. It's all been in plain sight and from early February I thought we're in deep sh*t and Gazza has simply been a disaster. Hard to see us surviving now and there is a major clear out and reset needed.

If we can sell any players still with a value then get rid and bring in League One and Two players with some attitude and desire that is totally missing and one or two older players in the Derry/Hill mould that won't go missing when it gets tough because League One is no easy ride...
 
I’m still trying to figure out what kind of ‘manager’ thinks that playing Jimmy Dunne, a man with no pace and the turning circle of a super tanker, at right back is a good plan. We didn’t lose because of this, we lost because we are **** and we know we are, but it’s an indication of the chaotic and deluded thinking going on at QPR. In his post match interview (I read the summary, couldn’t face actually listening to him) Ainsworth drones on about hard work, graft, communication, players and fans ‘being together’. None of which will make any difference to a team with no shape, no discernible tactics, no leadership and very little grey matter. No ****ing plan, no direction. He seems to think that if you want to win hard enough you will, that’s all you need. Pure idiocy. But perhaps it works in League One……

It can be argued that he inherited this mess, he can’t be blamed for it. But in my opinion he’s made us much worse.

Couldn't agree more. Some of the worst football I have ever seen at this level is happening under Ainsworths watch. Obviously he inherited a mess of a team with little balance or shape and has made it even worse in my opinion. Even the 'legend status happy clappers' are starting to see this now. Poor poor appointment to appease the fans which is actually having the opposite effect.
