I’d rather have Berty over the time he’s been here.
Of course. It was an emotional comment rather than a logical one. He just seemed more a ‘Saint’ than others to me.

but not really sure he was more a special “Saint”. Young & as I understand a bit daft / naive & obviously left to follow a golden road. Seems to finally found some maturity & hope he continues to flourish.
Plus he’s been poop for several years.
Its a tough one on Shaw - Bertrand has clearly been better over the past 5 seasons but who knows how good Shaw would have been had he continued his development at Saints.
We all thought he was going to be world class and imo he left a season or 2 early - but £31m and Bertrand as a cheaper replacement is pretty good business.
