Thanks for the update... what did PP say that was so inflammatory in his pre-match comments?

Presumably it was his post match comments where he thought we were mint whilst drawing with Rochdale. The owners will be absolutely desperate to go up this season and having someone who thinks the fairly mediocre start to the season is fantastic might be a cause for concern.

Of course, they could have foreseen this when about 98% of the fans said he'd be a **** appointment, and his entire career to date has had mediocrity and "safe" written all over it. Hell they interviewed him, they must have known he had the charisma of a cabbage , so it's sort of their fault really

Feels to me like we are into the semantics of what “it’s done” means.

As everyone knows, it’s only “done” when it’s announced as done. It can be 99% of the way there and still go either way. And two different sources are going to have different thresholds for what “done” is based on their perspective and their optimism / agenda.

Its a big deal and its complicated..with many moving parts. Its progressing and moving forward..and with a deal like this there's always needs to be a disclaimer attached..

Thirty odd million is not that larger a deal for the rich come on

Christ we've gone from done deal , Donald has gone and has no say in matters anymore, now back to it could either way

Don't think I can be arsed with another month or two of this ,our fans have been through enough ****e if this doesn't happen its gonna be a right kick in the balls

Can see history repeating itself here - deal falls through manager is sacked to deflect the unrest this causes.

Paul Cook / Nigel Cough would the likely favourites as both out of work.

Think the names of the prospective owners are being kept under tight wraps as they do not want to reveal themselves until it is all done and dusted.

Nar, keep the faith mate. I fancy due to Corona and the Donald’s finances that this time it will eventually happen.

Some pretty decent comedy script writers in this country. I doubt whether any of them could compete with what has been posted on here.

Hi.

Apprently deal still not complete. Still could go either way.

10th November is an internal date for things to be completed..then if agreed/signed announced a few days later.

Recent names put forward to the Source have not been dismissed. However, Furhman, Storey and Campbell have been comprehensively dismissed.

Parkinsons post match comments not gone down well at all with senior SAFC people. Seems he may be on thin ice either way..

Thanks for the update, appreciate you sharing.

a little disappointed Furhman not involved, prob due to the info Smug was given last year regarding the whole regeneration project....i guess to be fair nothing to say whoever it is would not have as grand plans.

Understand you dont yet know name or full details, idea about if plans would be sizeable for the club?

I know there are interested parties who want to buy the club but it takes both sides to make a deal happen and thats my fear that one side of this deal is playing silly buggers.

I must be missing your point, what was it?

that other sources saying “it’s done” and wheatsheafs saying “it could go either way” doesn’t necessarily conflict with one another. They can just be differing perspectives / biases of the same situation.

It was kind of in response to one of the posts above it which asked prehab and Magnus if they were still optimistic. My point was that this new “info” doesn’t in any way mean any of the previous more positive perspectives we’ve heard were wrong.

Aye, from the buyers position they might think they are in the final straits but give the impression to the seller that they could drop any any minute. So the seller just thinks everything’s up in the air.

Yes exactly.

I bought my house recently and we spent ages dealing with ridiculous issues and enquiries. When the last issue was finally dealt with I took a sigh of relief as I knew it was plain sailing from there. My seller was still very keen and co-operative, as was our buyer and everyone in the chain.

If you’d asked me then, despite us still being a few weeks from exchanging contracts, I’d have said it was “pretty much done”. If you’d asked my solicitor they’d have said it could go either way until we exchange.

the day before we were due to exchange we went into lockdown and somebody pulled out. Luckily it all resolved a few months later.

My point was mainly that different people are going to give different responses about the same situation - so just because this latest view sounds more pessimistic, it shouldn’t get folk down as it doesn’t mean what others have heard is wrong.

That was a bit of a ramble but I’ve had a few beers.
