The female Sky Sports News presenters are no more or less tolerable than their male counterparts, but nobody wants to hear Alex Scott speak. Nobody wants to see her cretinous face on television. She is as thick as pigshit and cannot disguise the fact that she knows it. She is awkward, monotonous, uses imbecilic terms and phrases such as 'we was', pronounces 'think' as 'fink' and is a poor presenter in general. Nobody cares about her career as a footballer because nobody really cares about women's football, however much people like to present match reports and transfer news from the WSL as if they did.
People don't care about black presenters and commentators if they're sensible individuals who know what they're talking about. That's why Damian Johnson is/was so well-regarded. However, it is patently obvious at times that a presenter is a token choice because their entire demeanour and knowledge of the game (or lack thereof) makes it quite apparent that they haven't been selected for their knack for making trenchant observations or incredible predictions. Micah Richards is a decent choice because he straddles the line betwixt the two. He's not the brightest spark, but he's always so jolly that he's a boon to the good atmosphere in the room/stadium whenever he's commentating on, or pitchside at, a match
