Their names have not even been formally linked with positions on soccer Saturday, their names have been dragged into it by a bunch of snowflakes whining about the prospect of a black guy or a woman appearing on a football show. More faux culture war bullshit to keep people angry and upset about nothing so they can ignore important ****.
The female Sky Sports News presenters are no more or less tolerable than their male counterparts, but nobody wants to hear Alex Scott speak. Nobody wants to see her cretinous face on television. She is as thick as pigshit and cannot disguise the fact that she knows it. She is awkward, monotonous, uses imbecilic terms and phrases such as 'we was', pronounces 'think' as 'fink' and is a poor presenter in general. Nobody cares about her career as a footballer because nobody really cares about women's football, however much people like to present match reports and transfer news from the WSL as if they did. People don't care about black presenters and commentators if they're sensible individuals who know what they're talking about. That's why Damian Johnson is/was so well-regarded. However, it is patently obvious at times that a presenter is a token choice because their entire demeanour and knowledge of the game (or lack thereof) makes it quite apparent that they haven't been selected for their knack for making trenchant observations or incredible predictions. Micah Richards is a decent choice because he straddles the line betwixt the two. He's not the brightest spark, but he's always so jolly that he's a boon to the good atmosphere in the room/stadium whenever he's commentating on, or pitchside at, a match
Jeff Stelling must be thinking he's on borrowed time.. He's too pale, too male, too northern, and too straight. Unbelievable Jeff
Yeah, and the big bosses at Sky voted to sack him. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences.
If these guys are any good they will snapped up by another channel. If not they will probably end up on talksport like all the other rejects.
For the life of me, I'm really struggling to chose between you being a brain surgeon or an single celled amoeba. Call me narrow minded if you wish.
More seriously, I get a lot of responses like this. Never any breakdown of what I've said to offend anyone, just a short post along the lines of "you've offended me in some way, but I'm not sure how"
Bloody 'ell , I should have said virus without a conscience. The soap box is still available it seems .
I'm not the one offended here (sunshine !). Perhap others may be - Alex Scott for example. What is your rationale for lambasting her as you did ? Criticising her as you did (paraphrasing here ) : "Cretinous face." "Thick as pigshit". etc etc. I have an opinion here. Not having seen your image, I'd be justified in saying the same about you. I'd add obnoxious cretin to your CV. Speaker's Corner anyone ?
This is a thread about football commentators and pundits. She is a commentator and pundit. I do not like her as a commentator or pundit.
Matt Le Tissier @mattletiss7 Why scare the entire population with this corona virus stuff. It’s only the elderly and people with existing conditions that are at risk but you’d think everyone was going to die by the way it’s being reported ^^^That right there is misinformation. That's not true. He either didn't know it isn't true (which given the time he tweeted it, I'm inclined to believe), or he said it knowing it isn't true. Regardless, as a high profile person with a wide reaching audience he should have known better. I agree that if he's lost his job over that one tweet, it's a bit unfair as it doesn't sound like he had much chance to explain himself. But then again, we don't know what's gone on behind the scenes.
You offended me when after joining this forum your first post to me was " Get back in the kitchen" and your second post to me when I commented to you on this was" Make mine a BLT ". Your comment on women footballers confirms that you are a sexist twit.
