It's not a balance sheet figure, it's a declaration in the accounts of the total put in by Allamhouse to meet trading obligations...

We don't know the total taken out, as that's not clearly shown in the accounts, other than the interest, which by the end of next month will be about £25m.
Would the witch hunt be called off if the club had paid the interest to the Bank instead of the Allams ?

I asked something similar, again on another thread. A third party lender would indeed be entitled to interest payments and the loan repaid in full. The suggestion was, as it is their money they could forego interest payments, though nobody as yet has suggested they write off the outstanding balance. As yet.

As for charging interest on a gift? Yes, that is a bit naughty.

I wouldn’t call it a witch hunt.
However I don’t think people would be as concerned about the interest if it was going to a bank...unless of course that bank had claimed they weren’t taking any money because the original money they’d put in had been a gift to the club.

Admit on the 'witch hunt'. But surely everyone knows by now that the 'gift to the people of Hull' was a reference to them saving the club from going into administration ? Who do you know who hands over £26m (maybe more) and expects not a penny back ?
Please leave their contact details below.

Expects not a penny back? He wants £40m back, why on earth do you think they're still here, stinking the place out?

What would have been your terms if you had of stepped forward and saved the club from administration ? As you quoted yourself the club were over £15m in the red when they took the debt on, not counting the other outstanding invoices in every office drawer and the unpaid staff ?

I know what my terms are when someone says "Here I have a gift for you".

Maybe they don't understand the English word 'gift', it's a difficult word in the English language, after all.

Maybe they don't understand the concept?

Gift = Giving something to someone.

Is it that hard to understand? <confused>

Gift as in I'll save your club from going into administration ? Is that so hard to understand ?

I'm a Hull City fan, so if I had a few hundred million kicking about, I'd have provided the money interest free (as many football club owners do if they're fans).

I wouldn't actually have had an issue with them getting a return on their investment (including charging interest on the loan), if they hadn't destroyed the club in process, while claiming they'd never taken a penny.
