What an utter waste of time!
Very depressing.
I see no reason for protests to stop.
Or be escalated.
More balls please?

Trouble is, they’re dealing with delusional barefaced liars. Do leopards change their spots? Why after all this time are they about to soften?
Hope I’m proven wrong, and tomorrow is a nice sunny day and we all skip to work.
I just don’t see it.
those who went will have very bad breath today - they've been fed a right load of ****
No movement on concessions, but Hull City branding talks more positive as owners agree to meet fans again

A first meeting between Hull City owner Assem Allam and Hull City supporters for over four years has been described as ‘positive’ after the club owners met with fans last night.
The City chairman and vice chairman Ehab Allam staged a meeting with eight supporters at the KCOM Stadium to address a number of key issues such as membership concessions, club branding and the relationship between the club and its supporters in the wake of recent protests.
The fans were represented by the Official Supporters Club, the Senior Tigers and the Hull City Supporters Trust, with five fans present with no attachment to any group or organisation.
A meeting that lasted over three and a half hours ended with no clear resolution on any of the topics, however there is a commitment to continue the discussions further at a second meeting pencilled in for either December 12 or 14, a move welcomed by many supporters.
The openness for further dialogue has been warmly welcomed by Hull City Supporters Trust chairman Geoff Bielby, who after seeing years of no open line of communication, says it is a significant step forward to now at least have dialogue with the club.
“It was a positive meeting and the fact they were willing to meet fans was a step forward because there is a dialogue now and a commitment to meet again and maintain that dialogue,” explained Mr Bielby.
“Ehab Allam has committed to look at the club’s branding guidelines and that will be high on the agenda for the meeting in December. I’m grateful to the owners for a commitment to what we hope will be positive dialogue moving forward.”
The meeting was chaired by Ehab Allam, who did the majority of the talking on behalf of the owners, with issues such as the branding of the club as Hull Tigers and the recent protests at the Nottingham Forest game dominating a lot of the conversation.
The owners made clear their feelings the recent protests of the Nottingham Forest game had a detrimental affect on the team.
While the meeting was born from the Allam family's frustration following those protests and a request for peace, the main issue for the majority of supporters is that of concessions, a feeling that's only been amplified in the wake of a proposed new pricing structure that sees adult tickets raised by £6 in all areas to cover the cost of cheaper tickets for children.
While there was no sign of any movement at this stage on the issue of concessions, the owners did appear open to discuss further the branding of the club and have further dialogue at the next meeting to find a resolution to the branding issue which would be suitable to both parties.
With few expecting any major changes after a first meeting in so long, news of an open channel of dialogue will be welcomed by many supporters.

.I'm sure there will have been tea and biscuits.

3 hours of nothing then.
After new year is out the way, do any of you fancy meeting up for a beer or two and a laugh?
Could meet in old town.
Give us a shout on here if you do.
It would be nice to see what other bas tards I have been conversing with.
The supporters objectives for this meeting are well documented. How many were resolved last night? Not a single one as far as I can see. The Allam's single objective is clearly to stop all forms of protesting, only time will tell if they've achieved that objective, but somehow I seriously doubt it.
We've all seen this play out for long enough to know that the Allam's give very little to nothing in any negotiations, I'm certain that they see giving any ground as a form of weakness. That being the case I can only envisage attendances getting smaller and protests continuing. Any intelligently run business listens to its customer base and acts on its requirements to improve the business, unless of course those that head up the business are belligerent egotistical maniacs, and that is unfortunately and quite clearly what we have here.If that is the strategy, it's a risky one, if they don't now change anything, the protests are likely to be much worse than they would have been had they done nothing.
we already do...weren't you invited?!

The hope they've achieved a minimum further 3 weeks of amnesty and likely a further period after that. And further divided supporters. And given a false public impression they are engaging with fans. Sorry but we've been mugged off yet again. The alternative approach? To say "you already know exactly what the vast majority of fans want. Make the necessary changes and then we'll talk. Until then protests continue ( and those staying away stay away)".If that is the strategy, it's a risky one, if they don't now change anything, the protests are likely to be much worse than they would have been had they done nothing.
The follow-up meeting is in three weeks.

It's of very little surprise to me that the only reason that they agreed to meet with what they see as the hooligan element was simply to achieve their objective, which is clearly to reduce/eliminate the protests, which will be an obvious embarrassment to their family name.
As I said in my previous post I applaud Geoff and others for committing their time, and for attempting to right the many Allam wrongs, however I can also see the logic in what Fez posted earlier in the thread. It's a proper conundrum, stand by and do nowt, and nowt changes, attend meetings and only those things change that the Allam's allow.

Anyone that doesn't agree with the Allam philosophy is classed as a hooligan mate, you surely know that by now, and on that basis hooligans attended the meeting, by invitation.I don't think the hooligans were invited.
