Seeing RCL's list of players being linked away, I have to disagree that the media have linked nine of our players away this season - they've linked far more, and here they are in alphabetical order...
Alderweireld
Alli
Davies
Dier
Edwards
Eriksen
Janssen
Kane
Lamela
Lloris
Lopez
Rose
Son
Trippier
Vertonghen
Walker
Wimmer

That's an entire matchday squad for ****'s sake.

And then 9 leave! <laugh>
Yeah, it's bullshit, but at least it's not going to disrupt your season.
Hard for you to get out of that circle though, especially with your youth system.
A few players do very well, then the vultures start circling.

Yeah it's a hard cycle to break particuarly as a smaller club who have appeared to reach their glass ceiling.

Spoken like a fan of Citeh or Chelsea a decade or so ago......

All you need is a coupl'a billion quid.

Yeah there's loads of that lying around on the South Coast <laugh>

Funnily enough, we're just about to to be sold... likely to a far eastern/chinese group.

Could go one of two ways... undo all the hard work of last 8 years, or maybe provide funds to help us push on?

Gonna be a let's say 'interesting' Summer... well actually when isn't it at Saints <yikes>

We were there for years. Still are, in some ways.

I think that making things difficult for the predators is important.
Make any transfers that you don't want to make extremely tough.
High prices and dragged out for months.
Someone turns a player's head? Sell him to another club, preferably abroad.

You've already got a very productive academy.
That's a big help.

Victor Wanyama was too cheap. Sod 12 months left on his contract. We'd have paid more, I'm sure.

Unfortunately, football is more about the owners than just about anything else. Watching Citeh being unable to sell out a 50,000 stadium and being lauded as a 'big club' would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous.

Tonight I heard that Swansea's players have bought all of he tickets for their next away game and are giving them to the fans......

THE PLAYERS ARE NOW PAYING THE CROWD TO WATCH THEM!

I see you lot as a similar model to follow really but we're a level below.

You were an EL side for a few years with the odd top 4 finish... you seem to have made that step up now.

We're a top half side with an odd season of qualifying for Europe... need to try step up now <ok>

Not sure whether to view this as positive - a commitment to getting it right together - or a negative, with the obvious implications.......

He's right though...they thought wrong about it. You can tell at times Spurs play like they expect to win. Instead they should take the bull by the horns. There is a lack of belief which is not allowing this team to deliver to their potential. Been banging on for over a season about mentality.

We are having to learn the hard way it seems

Tried that. Went shopping and to the mother-in-law's to do some decorating. That's depressing!

Bring on the football!

I've just had a day at Alton Towers...had radio 4 on on the Journey...football free zone. Then I logged onto here and now I'm busy fighting off the mob on the PL board.

I've just had a day at Alton Towers...

Ouch!! Lived in Stoke for four years and never went near or by the place. It's not so much the rides as the queues.

Went last summer and it was a long day. My girls queued for an hour to go on their first ride and hated it. Next day went to Monkey Forest in Stoke. Much, much better.

Yeah was for my boys....can't stand queues. I'm happy carrying the picnic nowadays.

Not contesting Lloris' assessment, although (other than one great save to stop it going 2-0) his generally poor distribution and pissing about at the back didn't exactly help!

I thought last night was the mirror image of the Palace game - Eriksen just came up with a moment of magic to win that one. We were equally disjointed that night.

What really disappointed me last night was the descent to the long ball hoofs for the last 10 minutes. Complete loss of the strict discipline shown through the last few months - and that tactic was NEVER going to work against the Spammers. Collins, Reed and Fonte were lapping it up!!

You're right - some hard lessons to learn and it's important that learning gets started in the 3 remaining games. We cannot afford to carry that same weakness into next season.
