The only instrumental to have two different versions to get to number one in the UK. Eddie Calvert and Perez Prado, both in 1955. Loads of other versions of it as well of course.Must have made the writer loads in royalties.

No colour there CCWell there is a colour there.Only reason I mentioned it was the wife had left a magazine out with some materials in it, one of which was velvet. Every colour you can of including a tartan patterned one. But not one colour called velvet. I am now looking for songs with Harris Tweed and mohair in the titles.
I was referring to Earl Grey tea. There is a mention of a colour there.Used to be a lot of things in the Earl Grey pub as well.

It is on the first Otis Redding album I bought, Otis Blue; Otis Redding Sing Soul so that gets the colour in.
Got the original mono version, worth a bit in good condition as the recordings sound far better than when they tried remixing a lot of his early recording to stereo after his death,

I was referring to black - which is not a colour. It is the absence of colour, by definition.
Not the first song you would think of if someone mentioned Little Richard.
