The approach to Gibraltar airport is quite a thrill.Bumping along above the waves as the Rock comes into sight......must have been hell in a bomber.....!
Eric Dier posted this, in reference to the Chapecoense tragedy: He was at Sporting with Marcelo Boeck, the Brazilian goalkeeper who was allowed to miss the flight as it was his birthday.
His last move was to Pune City though, where he failed to play at all, as far as I can see. Nice gesture, though.
So, Villa at home in the third round of the FA Cup. Not a bad draw. Please can we win it this time? I can't believe it's been 26 years since we last won it and 36 since Ricky Villa and all that. I was 18 then. Just abut to leave school and join 3 million others on the dole, watching the Brixton riot. I might have got a job if I'd not been following our boys to every game and ****ed up my A Levels.
Is that the dullest ever 3rd round draw? Not a single stand out tie for the football romantic to get excited about or the TV execs for that matter. I was hoping that Man Utd v Reading would bring on the end of their consecutive televised FA cup ties, but with the BBC already bigging up Stams return to OT and with the absence of stand out televised ties I think the run will probably carry on
Seriously though. If any Academy player was up to the football standard needed, and up for the cultural adventure, I would love Spurs to do loan outs to Brasil.
