I think a win, though welcome given what's gone before, would just paper over the cracks. It would take another winning run of Sept / Oct proportions to re-galvanise everyone connected with the club - especially the fan-base, who are clearly extremely disillusioned by the seeming apathy of the board, and of the players who, say what you like, are
not 'busting a gut' recently, and the one directional management approach to setting up and playing every single match.
Ragged defending every single week (only losing 1 - 0 at Derby was seen by some a a major plus!

), no creativity or penetration in midfield - I know we miss Howson badly, (but we have one of the best
squads in the division, remember!) and Jerome becoming more isolated with every game that goes by. If it gets any worse, poor CJ will have to carry semaphore flags just to communicate with his team mates.
