Cor, blast bor - I'd take that! Gianluigi "Gigi" Buffon, Italian international 'keeper in between the sticks, even Martin and Bassong may manage a clean sheet!
And anyway, any talk of transfers, Italians or whatever, goalkeepers or otherwise, in or out belong on the Rumour Mill / Transfer thread! Christ, some people are just so stupid and clog up the entire site by having this inhuman capability to keep posting on the wrong thread
Well f~u~c~k me, and there I was thinking he was going to win it! #sarcasmrules Never actually watched it though.
Just want we didn't want to hear - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...mself_off_the_ropes_at_norwich_city_1_4794623. He certainly looks pretty unhappy!!!
Some pretty damning statistics which suggest (as if we didn't all realise already ) that Alex Neil has shot his bolt as far as NCFC is concerned. 22 out of 43, FFS and yet Jez Poxey still kept blathering on about 'promotion' being a realistic aim at last week's AGM Lose next week at home to Brentford and I fear the excrement will well and truly collide with the wind turbine! http://www.pinkun.com/opinion/moxey...o_it_at_the_moment_for_norwich_city_1_4794582
Excerpt from the EDP piece (see JM's post #987 above) Erm, no, Alex, you are not! Selecting the same players and using the same (no, identical!) formation every single week, regardless of form, strengths of opposition, whether home or away, etc - is not likely to spring (m)any surprises in the opposing dugout. they simply set up with the sole intention of snuffing out the singular, repetitive formula that is NCFC at present - and you know what, it's working a bloody treat! Like-for-like substitutions, often made way too lat to influence proceedings, don't actually change anything formation-wise, so it's just far too easy. And as for the players "doing everything possible", well witness Bassong's recent performances and then try and equate them with that cringeworthy post-match press statement on Saturday.
Yes Cromer, most of us on here and I'm sure on 'the Pinkun' boards are clamouring for a change in the starting lineup, but MORE importantly a CHANGE IN FORMATION!!! How come we can all see it but AN is so stubborn that he can't??? I expect he'll be in the stands for the under 23 match this evening, looking as miserable as ever, as they show how football should be played with an attacking lineup as usual. Myself and ILD will be in the crowd, so I'll post a quick match summary, but possibly not until tomorrow.
Quote; "The only time you are a failure is when you stop trying"! Isn't that what our captain Russell Martin said our players did at Brighton. We gave up, stopped trying! FAILURES THEN ALL OF THEM!
How long do we give him? As long as it takes to turn things around, apparently! WTF? http://www.edp24.co.uk/features/ale..._turn_things_around_at_norwich_city_1_4797205
I see nothing wrong with that, all this knee-jerk reaction to change manager after manager very rarely works. ILD quotes Leeds as an example of successfully changing the manager, they have changed manager numerous times over the past few seasons and even now are only just producing a bit of form. It takes time to build a team, it can never be achieved overnight, and can never be achieved with another manager's players. Patience is a virtue!
Blimey Dave he's had over 18 months! Surely that should be long enough to have a plan A & plan B. Neither are obvious!
To be fair, ILD, the first 6 months were great. He took us from 7th, 11 points behind the leaders to the Premier League. But this season, he's taken us from pole position in this division as recently as Oct 15th, 2016 to 8th now, and 13 points behind the leaders. Yeah, give him more time to finish what he's started, why don't you
It took SAF three and a half years at Man Ure, with the wishes of some on here he would have been long gone!
You have failed to mention....he got us relegated, and doesn't seem to have learned from it! I think he's had long enough to work out what is going wrong! I guess if we let him finish what he's started we'll be in league 1 next season! By the way, who you calling fair?
Perhaps I'm missing something here, but did'n't AN take us to that 'pole position' before the recent run of results? I think it's right to be concened about recent results but for me, the last two away performances showed commitment and passion in spite of a spate of injuries and suspensions. Also, due to a screwey scheduling, we've now played 8 home matches and 10 away matches. Brighton have played just the opposite. Three of our next four matches are at home as a result. If we don't turn things around in those four matches then things will be serious. If we do turn things around, however, we could be well placed to push on from there. These 4 matches will probably determine AN's fate and IMO he deserves that chance.
Come on ReR, weren't you watching those early games, muddled and struggled our way to unconvincing wins, then there's Newcastle, Birmingham & Brighton games. Clueless in those and still clueless!
