Any win against Atletico Madrid is sweet.

Well done getting top spot as well. Did I hear correctly that the boo boys were out when Atletico subbed last year's Sevilla hero Kevin Gameiro for Fernando Torres?

You did. Shame really but they don't have that sort of sentimentality out here. Remember when Figo had the pigs head thrown at him in an El Classico when he went to take a corner after he swapped teams?

This weekend Los Rojiblancos were as underwhelming as Los Negroblancos were overwhelming.

Was a very entertaining match. They are the weakest team in the group, really, so we were expecting to win but to put 4 past them was very pleasing. A nice reaction to the disappointing display at the weekend.

We are not quite through given Juventus drew with Lyon (big groan around the ground when that late goal went in), but it is a formality really. Can't see us not making it through and may even top the group, although that could be a mixed blessing as it looks like some bigger teams may finish second - one certainly will in Barcelona's group.

Would love to play Leicester in the next round, not because I think we could beat them easily, which we couldn't given their European form, but would just like them to play us so I could see them live. They may even have to rework the Mosaic on the stadium to include their badge. Also the Spanish word for Fox is Zorro and I think they could have some fun with it on banners, etc.

This was on the Team website earlier today:

55 season ticket holders investigated for trying to resell their card

This is considered a serious offence and can lead to the suspension of the season ticket holder's benefits for 2 to 6 months

They aren't actually stopping you coming to the ground to watch matches, mind you - just the benefits, like seeing training sessions, meeting the players at events, etc. Spanish punishment is slightly less harsh than British in this respect.

Nice little treat this evening to go and watch. Not overly confident we will win, but if we can emulate City then we have chances.

Typical, Messi booked for time wasting tells you all you need to know.

Bit of a shame but a very good game to watch. Guessing it was available on Sky?

Rico was in good form, I thought - especially one he saved from an ex-favourite down Nervion way - Rakitic.

Also thought Suarez backheel volley was pretty special and he had an excellent game really, a very skilful player - and the nasty streak he has seems to have been brought more under control here than it was at Liverpool. He's still a git at times, but not quite as bad as he used to be

They were much better than us in the second half though and deserved the three points.

Bloody Messi scored against us again, though. That makes 27 now. Think he has scored more against us than any other La Liga team.

Next up a trip to the far north and the Glass City, otherwise known as La Coruña. We should beat Deportivo, they aren't setting the league on fire and are only 1 point off the relegation places.

Crazy early kick off time and a crazy late outcome. Goals in the 87th and 92nd minute win the day.

I was in France over the weekend (well Friday & Saturday) and they don't really take much notice of Spanish football in their media, not like in the UK, so was unaware of the result until I got home. A late, late show by the looks of things.

Sevilla 1 Juventus 3 (Champions League)

Game of attrition or did Clattenburg lose the plot? Two sent off (Vasquez for Sevilla in 36th minute and Sampaoli for Juventus in the 57th) and Seven booked (3 for Sevilla and 4 for Juve). In a way the worm turned tonight with the Juventus winners coming in the 85th and 93rd minutes.

The win means Juventus knock Sevilla off the top spot and qualify.

I saw the Seville players were being told either not to go to talk to Clattenberg or shake his hand at the end of the game.
It was a difficult match for him, but he totally got it wrong as he lost control of the game before half time. Guess this will add to his Tattoo collection under the heading Battle of Seville. Clattenberg is not a Ref I like, the less ref's we have like him the better.
There was bad feeling from the first game, and Tv reported Juventus fans had been attacked in a Bar by 30 Masked Fans in the town, (probably as revenged) with one in hospital losing a lot of blood.

It was a very feisty game. Completely agree that Clattenberg lost control but I also think our manager didn't help things. When the players needed a bit of leadership he was encouraging them to question the ref and contest everything. He was rightly sent to the stands.

The fans were very unhappy with the ref and even I was getting a bit of stick just for being English. The ultra's were definitely up for it and the attack the night before was very bad. There was talk it was revenge. The area around the ground was very tense and not a nice place to be. The señora was not very comfortable and stuck to me like glue.

The fans were also very much onto the players to get stuck in. Seville's ground reminds me of Upton Park. The crowd on top of the players and quite intimate (and potentially intimidating.

In short - a right old night.

Fairly even game with all the action being in the second half. Sevilla have a fantastic injury time save by Rico in injury time to thank for all three points. The win however sees them leapfrog Barcelona into second place in La Liga.

Agree with that Cottager. Very fair. If Barca win tonight back to 3rd but still doing okay. By the way, this is in the VIP Business lounge at the ground and not some local nightclub. Not quite the Fulham way, I feel.

Barca (47% possession) lucked a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad. You can guess who got the equaliser. They really don't like playing that Real - Barca's last set of results against them reads LDLDLLLD

However, the point puts Barca back in second place ... on goal difference.

Swan in the Copa Del Reya away to Formentura, with a storming first half and winning 5-1. Young midfielder Tucu Correa getting a hat trick before half time.
