Uncustomarily, I didn't manage to make the Cheese on Saturday afternoon as I was in A & E in Warrington for 5 ****ing hours. I got bitten by some crawling/flying **** on Thursday morning. I didn't feel the bite, but it started itching shortly afterwards. By Friday, it was very inflamed and swollen and I was aching all over.
Went to my pharmacist on Saturday morning and he advised I go to A & E. I first saw a nurse 3 hours after getting there. He looked at it and said I shouldn't have been waiting so longI then went to another nurse who took BP, blood glucose, temp and pulse. I then went to another dept and saw another nurse who measure the swelling and took a blood sample. Results in 90 mins
I saw the first quack who was a female septic. here on an exchange. She was quite pleasant. Got the usual smoking and drinking questions along with a few others. She said she wanted another opinion so she could rule out other possibilities other than cellulitis. He came with her about 45 mins later and asked a lot of the same questions. He did say my blood pressure was slightly high, to which I replied " possibly because I've been sitting in an A & E waiting room for 3 hours, watching people who arrived after me get seen. He laughed and agreed.
I got oral antibiotics, but they were close to keeping me in overnight for the I/V version
What a load of **** and what a horrible little ****erAnyone ever had similar?
Yeh when i play tennis in summer there's these little black flies or flying ants around the courts that get my legs sometimes (not horse flies for you experts out there). It's never been send you to hospital bad for me, but they can ****ing ache and itch if it's a particularly bad one and when you've been lying down and stand up it's horrendous. Got a mate who had to go and A&E with one that ended up like a tennis ball though
