Got to admit I am a fair weather supporter. Gave it up in the in the seventies when the Waggy era was finally over. Got interested again when we started to look decent. Now we look really look as though we are heading for another few decades of ignominy, falling thru the leagues to league 2 and who knows where. So I guess I am going to slowly tune out. Occupy myself with more positive things. After the first goal today, could not be bothered to watch and suffer not only Citys failings but a poor connection as well. Notice the traffic is down on this site as well or appears to be. Since the Allams got rid of SB its all gone to the dogs. How Phelan could leave Huddlestone on the bench and play Hendricksen and Mason I do not know. Unfortunately we will not get rid since Ehah will be able to attract no one else. Our only hope is a sale, again unlikely, since I cannot imagine anyone would want to pay 130 million for the club.

He did very well to beat those two with the squad weve got and the circumstances but if you let those two results turn us into relegation surviving heros your bonkers

Every single person on here thought we'd struggle massivley before a ball was kicked this season, through no fault of whatever manager was in charge
Yet now we are struggling as predicted some are having a fanny fit

And the snap jerk solution is to change the manager despite the poor ****er being massivley handicapped by the powers that be

We have a championship team smattered with a few who are prem class thats the reality if more than 18m was available itd of been spent

All would of signed mason for 13m
Everyone was buzzing about henriksen who may still come good give the young lad chance to settle
Weir and keane not good enough signings for this level but who else do you buy for 1m?

We cant sign alot of players due to the tits in charge creating so much insecurity and uncertainty itl put alot off,the market of players available and willing to come shrinks with every stupid drama and decision the tools make

    Huddlestone? Seriously

My point exactly when some are championing huddlestone as your midfield saviour your pretty much ****ed

    Under investment equals poor quality

You have that wrong. You don't admit you were a fair weather supporter. What you do is go on RH or write to the HDM and start any statement with "As a fan of over 40 years I think...".

Yes but they will just take out what they can to recoup their money even if it takes years and then depart leaving City back where they were before Pearson arrived. Which would be alright by a lot of us older fans. The journey through the divisions in the company of people there to support City as as opposed to being told to sit down and shut up by people spectating and being more interested in gawping at the opposition superstars was a lot more enjoyable than the destination turned out to be.

I agree chazz, Warnock is exactly the sought of manager you need in a relegation scrap. I posted this a couple of weeks ago: warnock was on talksport and he said he spoke to 3 clubs over the summer

One went with a foreign manager
One went with an English manager
and one haven't got a clue what they are doing!!

    That sounded exactly like us

Whats doing my nut in is why apparent and serious interest from different groups suddenly hit a brick wall time after time? It's as if the clubs owners are playing mind games at any cost including the potential risk of completely undoing years of success whilst leaving a giant ****stain of hatred in its place.

SB walked cos Ehab wouldnt let him spunk lots of money on signings that Bruce probably wouldnt be able to get a tune out of.
    nothing more, nothing less.

Well **** off then! Don't worry, you're not needed!

Oh **** off with the Warnock ****e! Everyone would have been screaming NO, we all know it. Whether it would have worked or not no one knows!

I've backed Phelan since he was appointed, he wanted the job & no one else did, I'd have taken McLaren as my first choice, but he wasn't asked, apparently, although he did come out & say he wanted it.
However I'm now at the same point I was with Molby, Parkinson & Phil Brown around this time in his last season, although we beat Stoke & he changed my mind & in the end I felt it was wrong he was fired when he was. All history now as is Hull City's PL run IMO.
Unfortunately I think MP is in over his head, I'm very surprised to be honest, I thought with all the years he was with Fergie he'd be more savvy.
I have seen a few games online this season, but I didn't see the Sun'lan game, only listened to it on Humberside, from the sound of it, they were **** to a super extent.
The thing that seems to be a favourite thing at the moment is playing with 1 striker. Ok we only have 1 striker who's fit, but why not try the kids, even ****ing Sun'lan had 2 strikers today, players who can score!
We have Bob, who might be able to score, we don't know as, according to Burnsy, Clucas was getting all the chances. Why wasn't Bob getting in there? What is the idea?
I don't know whether it's MP's fault or the players, but something has to change. It's alright Burnsy going on about a Sun'lan player costing £8 million & he's ****, but that's what you get for that these days. We spent £12/13 million on Mason, WTF? He's been one of the worst performers in most of the games I've seen.
Listening to that & reading the reports & the **** on here, we can defend who we want when we want, but I can't stand to think we lost to this shower of ****! We can blame the Allams for everything, most of it is their fault. Did Phelan want ANY of these players? Players we were linked with when SB was here, players that were watched by Stan Ternent! Allardyce, Hodgson or any other ****ing manager with half a brain isn't going to come work for this shower of **** owners.
What will happen over the season, we will struggle to stay up, on todays result we are down, not going to get out of the relegation zone at all, MP will take us down, whether it's his fault or not, he'll ultimately take the blame.
All these shiny new players will go, along with any decent ones we have left, next summer. Mason will go for about £5 million, if we're lucky, or worse, he'll stay, see out his contract in the Championship & go for nothing!
The owners will suddenly realise they're not getting their £100 million + & declare bankruptcy, so 10 points deducted. Further relegation or fight against it if we're lucky. We'll be challenging Blackburn to see who can **** up their seasons the most. Worst owner wins.
What I actually want to happen, MP to come up with a team who can perform, the players to prove they can actually perform, Ehab or Papa to come out & say we've sold & we're done, or extremely unlikely, they come out & say, ok we've seen the error of our ways, we're going to sort out this ****.
Do I believe we can stay up, I personally think there is enough **** teams to be below us for us to stay up, so yes, but results like Sun'lan & Bournemouth can't happen!
Is MP the manager for us, due to no one else, yes, he won't be sacked, the Allams won't want to pay anything out, he might walk, but don't see it. If he did go, it's another no name from inside with no experience to take it on, or Dawson to step up. Basically may as well stay with MP.
Have I lost faith, today, YES, next week, I'll be back believing again. I have to!

True, and the logical conclusion would be that the players he picked/signed weren't good enough. But it's clear that he doesn't have any choice on those things, so he can't really be blamed.

Losing 3-0 when you appeared to play well isn't bad luck, especially when it's been a theme all season that results have looked harsh on us. It's the sign of a really crap team. It was obvious we'd be crap before a ball was kicked. How can people expect any manager to get results when this is what he's got to work with?

Well I think Phelans style of play is a breath of fresh air after the negatvity of the Bruce years. We play completely differently and look to get the ball forward quicker and have some lovely interchanges of passing.
Carry on the good work Mike. Its great to see us having a go and not sitting back like Bruce used to make them do.
