obviously this is a question that will cross people's mind after today's result so who would you have. Hodgeson or alladyce are available or is there someone else you feel could rescue the situation we are in. No Allan rants please as there is enough to go round
I think you can start looking forward to a new manager when there are new owners. That is the case I'm afraid. Phelan is in charge because Ehab couldn't employ a successor. You can't absolve the Allams of all blame and place it all on Phelan, simply doesn't work.
A Firesale in Jan with cheap replacements brought in. Not a fan of Phelan at all,but nobody else is going to work under these conditions.
We couldn't attract anyone before the season kicked off, phelan was the only one who wanted it. I bet now he doesn't even want it. We'll never attract anyone any better
How long before Phelan walks? Bruce left because he knew Ehab wasn't going anywhere, and knew he couldn't work with him. Phelan must surely come to the same conclusions. Just a matter of how soon? I'm not sure any other credible manager would then take his place.
Nothing wrong with Phelans team selection or tactics today. We dominated that game, it was poor finishing and sloppy defending cost us, thats down to the individuals on the pitch.
I believe there was a lot of people who would have found the job attractive and taken it on, they just weren't asked.
There are better options out there but any manager worth their salt would be mad to take the job at present. The thought of working with laughing boy is enough to put anyone off. Phelan has been hung out to dry by a dreadful lack of preparation from the owners and I don't think anyone would blame him if he did walk.
Phelans got his hands tied Guys had last minute signings No real pre season to prepare a squad Backroom staff taken away from him and replaced very slowly Very little financial backing, a record tv deal yet given 18m for signings is a joke "Fans" with any form of common sense will acknowledge the real problem is our cancerous owners who are putting their need for profit over the good of the club, in fact there being negligent towards the playing/coaching side of things the only thing there arsed about and put effort into is creating an auction How is phelan meant to even be competitive with what for me is at best a championship team? I think hes remained very dignified throughout, and despite his hands and legs tied is trying his best, any manager out there even guardiola and mourinho would struggle in this situation Sacking phelan will achieve **** all Whats hodgson and allardyce going to do really apart from play the same team as phelan its not as if weve got any squad depth at all, were playing our best team available, if youve got no backing to strengthen or prepare properly your pretty much screwed
Guys had last minute signings. Most clubs like us have to make last minute signings. His were ****. No real pre season to prepare a squad. Had a full preseason. No problems there. Backroom staff taken away from him and replaced very slowly Always going to happen. Very little financial backing, a record tv deal yet given 18m for signings is a joke. We have a huge debt and you want the Allams to **** off? So why should they spend 50 million for you? The 18 million was spent atrociously by Phelan. Mason. Not worth 13 million. Henricksen. Not worth 4.5 million. Marshall. Not worth 5 million and not ****ing needed. Keane 1-2 million. A ****ing disaster and was predicted to be. Weir. 1 million. Why?? Do you think Warnock would have got more out of this squad than Phelan is cos i do. And he'd gone to Cardiff so i think he'd have come here. This PL is **** this season. A lot of poor teams.
Chazz what a load of ****ing bollocks Your answers are ****ing ridiculous a pre season with no signings and barely enough players isnt a pre season if you cant accept that your living on the moon Backroom staff issue, always going to happen yes but to pre plan and get quick replacements in which would need to be signed off by the ****wits wasnt acceptable The point is the pricks could of sold and theyve neglected transfer and staff recruitment in favour of creating auctions and high asking prices 18m gets you **** all, i think most of us would of paid 13m for mason in todays rates, and neglecting to give phelan more resulted in 1m deals for weir and keane , thats not phelans fault Your piling it all on phelan while blindy ignoring the allams role in the neglect of our club which has resulted in where we are todAy Take the phelan out goggs off and see the bigger picture ****ing warnock hahahaha behave
How did we beat ****ing Leicester and ****ing Swansea. He was a ****ing genius then and had released the shackles of that **** **** Bruce. He's no ****ing idea. He's made **** selections and **** tactics since he didnt have to make a decision. Simple as. Any number of managers would do better with this squad.
I'm starting to think the club won't be sold now, certainly not before we are back in the Championship. Like many,I Keep reading about this and that offer, deals are getting close and statement being read out then all of a sudden, another apparent deal is dead in the water? Every club has a price yes,but the club and its fans just looks so apathetic and disinterested at the minute it's beginning to sound like the days of Lloyd again when every f'kin City fan worth his salt hated the tw*t with a vengeance. Like many more,I am seriously running out of patience with all this ****e but I always put the club first. Is it just the Allams I ask? If not,am I missing something big time here, because to go from Wembley to a laughing stock within its own ranks takes some doing, unless it's all a deliberate plan of course?
The value of the club plummets after every game. If the Allan's (I like that) don't sell before the end of the year, there's little chance of getting their money back. We aren't destined to be a yo-yo club, we're destined to drop like one of Marshall's lead boots. If Ternent is our scout and 'scouted' these players, I wish he'd **** off to Villa as frankly they have been ****ing gash so far.
I personally hope that when we are back in the Championship someone comes along and offers £60 million. I would love to be a fly on the wall when the Jim Bowen moment sinks in to the festering boils on not only this club but the City.
