Even though he's found a bit of form he's still not the player he was.

    Harry Kane <laugh>

    Jamie Vardy <rofl>

Sturridge can't even get in the Liverpool team due to our front 3, but he still gets in the England first 11 before Vardy (who has been playing all season, although admittedly not many people know that as he doesn't score anymore).

Aguero is the only striker with more natural ability than Sturridge in the PL.

    Costa is effective, granted.

Kane is very good, different type of striker, would be top 5.

Vardy is a one season wonder. He was in non-league football for so long, for a very good reason.

Zlatan is past it and too slow for the PL.

Sanchez isn't a striker, but very good in that role.

Lukaku could be brilliant but he has the first touch of a donkey.

Other than that we're scraping the barrel tbh.

It's obvious he'll be going to Barca at some point, he's truly world class. He's even banging goals in for Brazil on a regular basis now.

We'll get so much money for him as he has NO buy out clause in his contract, fact.

Klopp is one of the best in the market (as proven at Dortmund) so we'll find someone to fit the bill.

The fact is Coutinho will at least see this season out, then we'll see what happens in the summer. When you're one of the top 3 players in the PL you're always going to get interest from Barca or Madrid. That's just life.

Yeah I know ... we've had that with Riyad Mahrez for a couple of years now ... he does actually have the homours to go with the hype mind ... his fellow players have judged him to be the best, not just one of the top 3, too <whistle>

Mahrez must be kicking himself. He could have gone in the summer, now there is very little talk of him.

    It's all about these 3.

    Coutinho
    Sanchez
    Aguero

Really, laughing about Harry Kane, sturridge in his whole liverpool career has 57 goals while Kane has scored more than that in 2 seasons from 14/15 to 15/16.

Who cares what kind of striker he is,is he better than Sturridge for a club, yes he is ajd the same goes to Aguero,Lukakau and Diego Costa.

Sanchez has been converted to a striker and thats where he is and will be starting all the time now.

Confirmed by both the player and our manager.

... apart from him having been involved in all but one of our 5 unanswered champions league goals ... in a record start to a champions league campaign by ANY club in the history of the competition of course ....oh and being on the Ballon d'Or list ... apart from that he's been completely anonymous ... and people say that you and I never agree <whistle>

Sturridge goals to game ratio for Liverpool is incredible. It's not his fault Klopp prefers to play with more dynamic front players.

Put Sturridge up front for Arsenal (for example) and he'd be smashing goals in for fun.

All I'm saying is other than Aguero, Sturridge is the most naturally gifted striker in the PL.

But yes I agree, it depends on the style of the team. If you put Costa up front for Liverpool he wouldn't score many, as he's not dynamic enough.

    All if's and but's.

Sturridge would sell for big money, it's that simple.

Agreed that he is gifted but not that he would sell like the latest iphone because the iphone doesnt break down every few weeks,as long as he is so suspect on fitness,no club will pay big big money for him.

RVP is probably one of the most gifted forwards of all time with his feet and brain but hawks came to circle only after he had been fit for 18 months and banged in over 50 goals for us in that period.

He's one of those players that makes football so brilliant for Leicester fans at the moment.

Everything he does has an air of class to it. He's a special player.

It's a shame he's limited in our side and that he'll go in the summer. He'd be sensational in a side like Barcelona or (and I hate to admit it) Arsenal.

    He wouldn't.

Liverpool will expect top dollar for him because of his goals per game ratio but nobody would want to spend it because there are better players who are far less injury prone.

I'd be amazed if anyone offered north of 40m.

If sturridge was so WC how can he not get in ahead of firmino. Even if he is lazy, i'm pretty sure if Klopp has Messi or Ronaldo he'd be starting them. Coutinho is hardly the work horse.

ergo sturridge isn't even the best attacker at liverpool let alone 2nd best in the league.
