Walnut was a whippet who was put down today, just for anyone wondering what the hell this thread is about.

His owner tweeted that he was taking him for his final walk and it went viral and hundreds of people turned up with their dogs.

    No explanation probably necessary Lammy.

The Missus is in bits here.

She's just called me a heartless bastard mind, 'cos I read out the thread title and then had to explain what it means, so, you know, thanks Bummers for causing a frosty atmos Chez Shackleton.

I may have sounded flippant, but you harden.

I lost my dog last year.

I know what you mean. I still miss our last guinea pig which got carried away by (I think) a sparrowhawk 3 years ago.

We planted a walnut tree in our garden about 4 years ago, it seems to be ok but no fruit yet.

i got a string net full of English walnuts. Smallish. My mate had the combo for the gate to the high house. 3 French walnut trees and 2 English.

Still, I got a good haul of sweet chesnuts.

This isn't the family dog I grew up with, but looks a lot like him. He was a Welsh Springer Spaniel and was very much part of the family. RIP Kim x

We lost our westie Max 4 years ago and I'm still not over it. He was my best pal when my ex wife and I split up. I see him everyday though, I've got a picture of him and the kids on my bank card. RIP Max x
