What's not to like - standard three nowt against the plucky minnows of Scotland - empty your pockets and back up the road you sweaty bastards ........ and try not to smash 'owt till you get to Gretna!
Southgate's got the job in the bag now, although he'll probably try and make out it's not up for discussion at the moment or feign an indifference.
A cliche of our times from the caretaker - indifference towards the job they want..
Imagine any other industry, on a work trial or interview and you show such a lack of desire for a job?
Anyway, I think Southgate will be a disaster and it's a piss take that getting 7 points from Slovenia, Malta and Scotland somehow qualifies him for the England job.
Vital result - Snodgrass jogging off looking uninjured
Tis a real shame that this fixture when It comes is so uncompetitive, it used to be a fixture full of passion and fury and winning meant so much, now it's a bit like when we play York in pre season, sure a few idiots get riled up but it's a paddling on the pitch and all a bit meh
Ask silly Quilly. It's one of the endless list of things he/she is an expert at.Does Sturridge's little signature dance represent anything?
Or is it just a 'look at me everyone, it's all about me' thing?
Yes, he's passed it a few times, and quite well.Rooney is past it
San Marino 0-8 Germany.According to one of the Canada Tigers on here a game is never poor it just means you lack sufficient TV UEFA badges to see the exciting tactical chess battle.
I only watched parts of the match Snodgrass always looked good and tidy in possession with quick insightful passes. Sadly for the Sweaties it slowed back down when the ball was at the feat of one of his team mates. I expected a plucky harder working performance from Scotland. Were all of our goals headers?
I wouldn't have put him as MOM, although he was Scotlands best playerMy brother is an ex city hoolie, lived in Scotland for 25 years, still supporting England, had Snodders as MOM.?
I agree, Rooney was goodThat was the best atmosphere at an England game for a long while.
We played some good stuff when we passed it quickly, but it didn't happen anywhere near often enough and the last half hour was like a training game.
Cahill and Stones were guilty of some shocking ****ing about, a decent team would have punished us. Sterling did some decent stuff, but late in the game there were several occasions when he should have passed but didn't, his decision making is terrible.
Lallana was definitely Man Of The Match.
It seems Rooney gets slagged off whatever he does, he was good last night.
We'll need to tidy things up significantly against Spain, or we'll be punished.
I agree, Rooney was good
