That's fine. They'd probably do a better job than Teresa May, Boris Johnson, David Davis & Liam Fox.
True, plus the Trumpton boys would be able to put out the expected fires of discontent in their spare time.

Positive noises from Trump about trade with the U.K. and has invited May to visit him as soon as possible. He's said the UK is a very, very special place for him and his country and he wants to strengthen trade and the special relationship between the two countries.

Told you all he has British heritage and a silver lining could be the way we are treated post brexit to how we might have been otherwise. No back of the queue for us under Trump.

Oh behave! As Charles Moore, a right-winger on the Telegraph said, '"Don't hold your breath". If it suits the US he'll do it. If not he won't. As to all this syrup since he come in, much as it's welcome and adult, some of us are old enough to remember Thatcher coming to power in '79 and rambling on about St Francis of Assisi and bringing harmony where there is strife, blah, blah, blah. Within six months she and her nutty adviser, Patrick Minford, had declared war on our industrial base (which has never recovered), trade unions and the unemployed.
Just my personal view, discrimination and equality is wrong but do you not think people are taking offence over every little thing. I will stand by what i feel in that i like banter and you can tell when someone is being intentionally a bully/racist and when you are having a laugh with your friends. Maybe i'm too old school where things like mums complaining that toys are advertised for boys (yes i know girls might feel marginalised, i actually think this is not wrong. the company is marketing to the person most likely to buy it. That doesn't mean girls can't buy and play with it, my niece loves star wars, lightsabres etc but it should be the parent that educates the child to be themselves rather than complaining over it).
Half of the stuff said on this board, if some keyboard social warrior saw what we wrote would have this place shut down straight away.
also what you wrote there is a bit of a hyperbole? When have ethnic minorities or women recently not been treated like human beings? You just have to look at the vile creature Katie Hopkins taking centre stage for the daily mail
I'm sure he would love to deal with us at a time when our negotiating power is at its weakest. Given that he wants to renegotiate existing trade deals for better terms, his stated trade aim is to "Negotiate fair trade deals that create American jobs, increase American wages, and reduce America's trade deficit." and Point 2 of his seven point plan on trade is to "Appoint tough and smart trade negotiators to fight on behalf of American workers.", it doesn't sound like he'd give us an easy ride.
No reason why just because it suits America is cant suit us as well. Both will want the best deal possible

That is discrimination to a certain extent. What the manufacturers are saying (maybe not deliberately) is "You're a girl, you can't like Star Wars, stick to barbie dolls". Its stereotyping based on somebody's sex, its a small step away from telling women to 'stay in the kitchen'.
On its own it probably wouldn't be a big deal but the way women continue to be treated by some men as objects rather than human beings (look at Trump) is why they do get angered at things like that, especially why mothers get angry seeing their daughter having to go through the same sexist discrimination she herself has faced.
I do think there are some examples of going too far though, such as the Canadian professor that is being criticised by a lot of people for refusing to use gender neutral pronouns. I have no problem with transgender people but to force other people to change the way they speak to accommodate you is a bit much I feel.
Georgey was a soft / meek Prez. Don is more like a DonThe man is a psychopath. Makes George W. look positively presidential...

True, although "informal" talks may happen to take place beforehand. In any case no deal would be agreed until after we've left the EU, and probably until quite some time afterwards. We wouldn't be able to do a deal until after leaving the EU.
Big if. At the moment, it seems fairly clear that the Europeans will only provide access to the single market on terms that Leavers would not want, so it then becomes a case of do we accept those terms (in which case, what was the point of leaving?) or not having full access to the single market. If we do a deal which gives us full access to the single market, which should really be the key aim,
If we are negotiating our own trade deals, then presumably for only the UK market (and if we have full access to the single market, then there may well be restrictions on being allowed to sign our own trade deals), which reduces our bargaining power significantly. Our negotiators will also likely have less experience in negotiating trade deals, and will be busy with all the other trade deals they'll be working on as well. Plus there's also the possibility of economic downturn once Brexit becomes more concrete, which would weaken us furher.then nothing much will have changed from now except us being able to negotiate our own deal. We won't be in a weak position at all
Probably, although our negotiators may have quite the workload at first.and I expect the uk and us would come to a deal quicker than the EU will with the US.
Of course the Americans would want it to be a deal which benefits them, that's the aim everyone has going into these kind of negotiations!
Obviously, but the question depends on what you view as being the best deal possible. Generally, trade deals aim at reducing or eliminating tariffs and finding agreement on standards in order to remove barriers and facilitate trade. This is also probably what the UK would be aiming for as well. This contrasts with Trump, who wants to renegotiate existing free trade agreements for more "favourable" terms for America (i.e. reintroducing tariffs etc.) and reducing the American trade deficit, i.e. restricting imports and, where possible, increasing imports. He would also likely insist on the UK accepting American quality standards etc., which, given the general unease with which this has been met with as part of TTIP, suggests that many Brits would be less happy about this as well.No reason why just because it suits America is cant suit us as well. Both will want the best deal possible

I'm finding it hard to see redeeming qualities in any of them, tbh.Much as I think Trump is a slimey toad, I can totally understand the appeal for him among American voters. In fact, at least I can see why he had some redeeming qualities, which I could NEVER understand with Farage, who to me is a spiv.
So here it is folks, I am beginning to give Trump the benefit of the doubt. Maybe his philosophy of Amercian Protectionism will mean he will not be going around the world pissing away billions in futile wars that destroy lives and wreck havoc in far away lands. Maybe the best thing for America is to be insular and build from within and leave the rest of the world, the **** alone. Maybe it will mean the U.S. the U.K. and other ****ers in Europe can get the **** out of Russia's back yard and stop trying to colonise by proxy the strategic regions of the world.
Actually, the more I think about it, the less afraid I am of Trump and the only worry I have is about the ****s in the Republican party who will want his ear. IF he really is the maverick he claims to be, then he will not give the likes of Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bolton, Searle, Wolfiwitz, the time of day!
@Nozzer whats all this 'we' talk? We're talking about the UK, not Germany![]()
