We've had several incidents of the party that won most percentage of the popular vote not forming the government. Think Labour in 51 had more than the Tories, who took over government, and 74 the roles were reversed.

Not 100% sure on this. While obviously Trump had plenty of enemies during the campaign, it's amazing what winning an election can do to bring people in your party onside.

    2. slash taxes... hmmm pretty much done

    3. build ****.. yeah once the bribes roll in they'll back that too.

    1) He needs 60 senators to vote to repeal the affordable Care act. He doesn't have enough votes. He can go through section by section to rework parts, but that would be hard to do...

Also now that he's won the election he's changed his tune and has gone from "repeal obamacare on day 1" to "I like the main Tennant's of the affordable Care act.". <laugh>

I think his stance on Obamacare was just a load of ****talk to win the election.

2). Yeah, he should have no problem cutting taxes.

3). Building stuff is going to be difficult with both houses Republican.

As a dyed-in-the-wool, unreformed, pie-in-the-sky Keynsian, one thing I'd applaud would be a massive infrastructure investment (in this country too). A New Deal for this millennium. I'd felate him and all his KKK staff if he'd start a space programme for a manned mission to Mars in my lifetime (though I just don't see he has the vision). The space programme of the 60's cost the US taxpayer @ 10% of its IRS for a decade, BUT - it got that back and more, you know, in technological advances and engineering knowledge. Wasted a lot of the latter for dithering in the 80's and 90's though. Maybe his mate Putin would like to come along for the ride.

Paul Ryan looks like he wants to be his apprentice now. At 1am our time on Wednesday morning they all wanted to **** Trump for pissing off the Latinos and women. Now he's a genius for getting the white working-class bluecollars on board. Shades of how the knives were out for Cameron in May 2015 before he unexpectedly got a majority (albeit a small one).

    Thanks milk.

So to get shut of obama care he has to threaten sonething awful to bargain the votes to get rid?

Do you really think following national socialist policies will be that difficult?

All great pharaohs built monuments to their glory. perhaps an inward looking building spree would be something the democratic party could let him on with.

Obama will reap what he sowed though. executive orders could be interesting.

Well no, no provision to vote for Trump <laugh> but it lays out precisely how the president is to be elected and that is via the electoral college [although that name was only later given to the system that votes].

The opposite is also true [which wouldn't happen in the US]. In May 2015 some predicted that Labour could lose the popular vote yet win the most seats.

Israel now waiting to see if Trump keeps his promise of moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem. There is a congressional mandate dating from the Clinton administration recognising Jerusalem as the capital and calling for the Embassy to be established there. Clinton and subsequent presidents felt to move it would hinder the peace process.

Probably find be similar scenario to Obama wanting to get rid of guantama bay. (Spelling lol)

Will probably happen. just whether Trump would still be in power by the time it eventually happens. ie obstacles.

A Republican Congress is not going to go for infrastructure improvement or a space program.

I find it unlikely Trump will invest in NASA either. He's anti science, a climate-change denier to boot.

There again he's already backed down from wanting to repeal Obamacare and he hasn't taken offiE yet. Who knows what he will do.

    I think

8 years ago i think obama was elected for change.

This time round he was proven not to have changed things and clinton was seen as yet more for the 1%

I find it odd anyone chose trump for change but i feel that some or actually a lot voted cos he spoke like nobody else.

I feel the lot will be disappointed cos theres a serious about face occurring already.

However people need to stop dismissing brexiters and trumpets.

They voted to be listened to. the less they get listened to the more extreme they will go to get heard... same in france etc.

The 1% have too much power, too much wealth and those from the pig **** shovellers to the middle class pencil pushers are all sick of paying for it all.

The liberal ultra pc media dont want to objectively report either. they just push their view.

Simple. as long as this continues theres a spiral going to happen.

Who the **** in 4 years time will be put up to trymp when everyone brays for change again.
