I have a uni tutor friend who lectures in US politics and who's claim to fame is he's never got a prediction wrong. I lost touch with him a short while ago but I'd love to know if he got this one right.
It would be interesting. where florida goes us goes. first exit poll called this 48% want change no 1. i said oh oh and went to bed. It will be interesting to see if he actually is even a tenth as bad as predicted. Obama was predicted to be shot etc etc etc. it was all very dull. I hope trump is dull.
The American Dream of first black president followed by first woman president never materialised. How long a wait now for the first woman?
Be careful...there's rumours of Sarah Palin becoming secretary for something. .a few well placed assinations, heart attacks etc you could see it lol
They are already hinting at michelle obama in 4 years.... The democrats proving again they have not heard what theyve been screamed at with. obama care costs are what kept increasing and annoying these guys. America is screaming at them and uk is screaming at tories and labour... Neither are listening still. all the tories see is golden chance to make a killing. France are screaming next. they will go far right
Talking of...Do you remember the absolute horror in the US at the idea of Palin being a heartbeat away from the presidency. .. Is she really worse than the guy they just elected????
I'm not much up on internal Democrats but do they have a group to chose from who could truly say they represent blue collar in terms of policy, identity etc? any that can make them feel like they are listened to not lectured without the Trump hate, fear of the 'other' rhetoric? tough job. Also, will this be the normal tactic for any Republican since it appears to have been successful? how do you combat it other than weirdly hoping Trump turns the US into a living hell? Also...what happens when Trump bales on his campaign promises? he's flip flopped and been prepared to listen to recordings of himself and then say "I didn't say that". He's not relinquishing control of his business and there are some serious and based on past behaviour, very real concerns that he will merely use the presidency to forward his own gains. Who can come in after that and get through the disillusionment that these voters will feel when the outsider is shown to be the very worst type of insider?
Well i for one am glad trump won! hopefully he will **** **** up so much we do away with big government all together.
https://www.theguardian.com/comment...isation-dead-white-supremacy-trump-neoliberal Spot on, as always, especially about the hand-wringing nonsense of somehow 'reconnecting' with bigoted, closed minds.
