(Still a maiden but the mare has a good chance to break her duck today. 7/2 available in most places atm).).
Great shout Beefy!!Hell of a bumper for the time of year at Down Royal tomorrow with six out of the eight having already a win under there belt. Joey Sasa looked immense at Galway slamming a fancied Elliott runner with ease, I can see him following up here and have had a decent bet on him earlier at 4s, into a top price 3/1 now. Going to take a good one to win this, the Meade horse looked pretty good to me on his last start.
In the opener Monbeg Notorious looked a very decent ex pointer for Gigginstown when hacking up in a bumper by 15l and was readily available at 6/4 earlier but has now shortened. No betting proposition for me at the price now but it'll be interesting to see how he accounts for pretty decent opposition tomorrow.
Went in to 9/4 at one point today then went off 3/1 touched 10/3! Couldn't resist the 10/3. Won pretty cosily too! The Fav was extremely disappointing especially as the money came in for him late!Hell of a bumper for the time of year at Down Royal tomorrow with six out of the eight having already a win under there belt. Morning team. Nothing for me today but anyone see that Fort Bastion got claimed yet again last evening! He’s now been in 3 barns in less than a fortnight. The timeline reads:
22 October – ran and won a claimer for old boy Dave O’Meara. Then claimed by Tom Dascombe
3 November – ran and won a claimer for Tom Dascombe. Claimed swiftly by Brian Ellison.
Where will the old boy end up next?!?
Songbird may look like a licence to print money in the Distaff but she has never raced against older fillies before and she has won a lot of small field events to stay unbeaten.
I cannot say that I am in any hurry to back the visitors from Europe in the Friday Breeders’ Cup card.
Ryan Moore prefers Intelligence Cross in the Juvenile Turf to Lancaster Bomber, perhaps wary of the fact that when runner-up in the Dewhurst the latter was the pacemaker. Rodaini disappointed last time and it is hard to see him troubling the home team, with Big Score and Good Samaritan looking likely smart types.
The O’Brien family represent almost the whole foreign challenge in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, although former French filly Spain Burg (winner of the Rockfel) makes her new home debut with Frankie still aboard. Marcel Boussac fifth Cavale Doree is an interesting addition to this field by Christophe Ferland, so clearly the owner has deep pockets and big aspirations.
The home team may start a very good weekend against the visitors, obviously in the dirt races but even in the turf events.

(Must remember to follow Stick in the bumpers!).
21.25 Big Score 10/1
22.05 Vyjack 20/1
22.50 New Money Honey 12/1
