2:55 Hex - ROLL OF THUNDER 9/1 Last two visits to this C/D have seen him finish 1st (at 25/1) and 2nd (at 40/1) - latterly off a mark 11lb higher than he currently is. Poor form since reflects why he's dropping through the handicap but well worth a punt if a return to this track perks him up.
DORTMUND and SONGBIRD double over in the breeders cup pays little over 3/1- looks a pretty strong double to me
Hell of a bumper for the time of year at Down Royal tomorrow with six out of the eight having already a win under there belt. Joey Sasa looked immense at Galway slamming a fancied Elliott runner with ease, I can see him following up here and have had a decent bet on him earlier at 4s, into a top price 3/1 now. Going to take a good one to win this, the Meade horse looked pretty good to me on his last start. In the opener Monbeg Notorious looked a very decent ex pointer for Gigginstown when hacking up in a bumper by 15l and was readily available at 6/4 earlier but has now shortened. No betting proposition for me at the price now but it'll be interesting to see how he accounts for pretty decent opposition tomorrow.
Dont think they've had that much today but looks sets to get a bit tomorrow before and during racing. Yielding would be my guess tomorrow
Ruby four told pays just under 5s..... why not.... looks good racing Glee had an easy return to National Hunt racing yesterday but he assured me never going back over obstacles He's in the bumper next week at Chelts and is confident Stay Frosty xx
Morning team. Nothing for me today but anyone see that Fort Bastion got claimed yet again last evening! He’s now been in 3 barns in less than a fortnight. The timeline reads: 22 October – ran and won a claimer for old boy Dave O’Meara. Then claimed by Tom Dascombe 3 November – ran and won a claimer for Tom Dascombe. Claimed swiftly by Brian Ellison. Where will the old boy end up next?!? Answers on a postcard please to the usual address. Good luck to those wagering today.
Agree about Dortmund - had that in a big double with Califoria Chrome - nap nap nap!!! Songbird hasn't earned a fast speed figure yet though and is taking on older rivals for the first time - think Stella Wind is a cracking price at 4/1 I also think Rodiani has a great shout in the juvenille turf @ 9.25 Ignore his last run (missed the break, met trouble and stumbled badly) but looked a smart prospect before that and 18/1 is far too big to turn down!! La Coronel is my choice for the 10.50 - won a Gp3 by 4 lengths hard held last month and trainer/jockey won this last year - currently 12/1. Will stick these 4 in a L15
Shattered love 1.15 Down Royal 7/2 Was a real eyecatcher in her Aintree bumper. She looked like she would be better over jumps that day. She won rather easily on her hurdles debut and I don't see why there should such a difference in price between her and the mullins horse.
Can't get away from HYDRANGEA in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies turf. (10:50) Everything about her looks set fair for American racing. She is a front runner in Gate1 and tough as old boots. Has some excellent form in the book and barring a nightmare from the gate, should be difficult to pass. Some other more speculative shouts over in the USA tonight are MADE YOU LOOK (11/1) at 9:25 in the Juvenile Turf for Pletcher and Castellano. Won his Grade 2 very costly and the second has won a Grade 3 since. Drawn nicely for a midfield sit from Gate 5. In the Distaff at 11:25 I'm less confident but see the obvious value in CURALINA 18/1. 3rd last year and staying on well, she gets the trip strongly and does have the option to attempt to make all from Gate1. There is a lot of pace in the race though and the trainer has talked about stalking the pace- she could pick up the pieces if they all take each other on at a mad gallop.
2:55 Hexham - Catchthemoonlight (Still a maiden but the mare has a good chance to break her duck today. 7/2 available in most places atm).).
A bit disappointed with that run. She wants futher and she should probably have pressed the leader from further out to give her stamina a chance instead of leaving the winner dictate.
Apples Jade beaten then on reappearance. I do think it might take a while for Elliot to figure out some of Willies horses.
Very diplomatic Toppy - I would say her bubble is well and truly burst. Did she beat horses who were over the top at Aintree and Punchy?
Alway like to help maidens break their duck, and she did it in style too. Nice little drift from this morning's early price as well...........
Too early to say mate. Her Aintree win was certainly exaggerated but she will come on for today i think. The winner went well early last season whereas Apples Jade got better.
