P.S. I can feel it in my bones that he will be gone soon, so that my finger is itching to press the Ryanair button.
I can. Many crave stability and I can understand that. We have seen our club mismanaged over recent times however I thinking people are backing a losing horse in Jimmy.
Jimmy may not have lost the players but he has lost the fans so it's really only a matter of time anyway.
Why should the Board take notice after 1 bad defeat? As Mr Earl says fans are fickle. Win a game or two and Jimmy will be flavour of the month again. Lose the next 2 and maybe then Les will be Public enemy No 1.
It's not the defeat that is the problem, it's the manner in which we lost. Oslo have you been watching us play? It is the worst I have seen QPR play in years (that includes the time Gerry came back and Holloway at his worst). The football is dire, the tactics are debatable, there is little to no comittment and the manager looks lost. I would rather be a fickle fan than a fan arraging deckchairs on the titanic.
I can, and agree with Ellers re stability. I'm not part of the JFH out brigade just yet but a few more poor performances and the out view could become a reality, although I still think going through the managerial merry go round again is counter productive, the club has fecked up the last few appointments and who's to say they wouldn't feck it up again? IMO he still doesn't seem to know his best starting 11 but the basis is there. We have a good keeper and a decent back 4 with back ups. The 2 sitting midfielders Ariel & Luongo should be the first names on the team sheet, it's the front 4 that's the conumdrum, where are the goals coming from? Does Cherry offer enough to effect games, should he pick to out and out wingers and 1 from Washington, Polti and Sylla? I don't know what the answer is but JFH needs to solve this quickly before we really are dragged into a relegation dog fight, if we're not alreadt.
Not sure there was a lack of commitment against Brentford, it's just that they were a better prepared side who had a plan to stifle what attacking plan we had and had players willing to move into space to receive passes and free up the runners in behind our back 4.
I think you are forgetting a whole lot. I saw the whole Brentford game. We were well beaten by a good team on the day with better players than us all over the park except Keeper. I remember far worse performances under Ramsey, Redknapp and Hughes, and those were with far more qualified players than we have in our Squad today. I also ended up seeing a lot of our games with Fulham and Bristol City, they weren't so bad! I agree Jimmy is young and learning, but I am not at all sure we'll find another Head Coach who will be willing to work under Les and do much better with these players. We need to improve the Squad dramatically, investment for which needs to come from the Board. And if we want a proper Manager, Les's DOF position needs deleting, another one for the Board. I don't see that our main problems come from JFH, as they didn't from CR. They come from the cut in investment, and organisational set up above Jimmy''s level. Water under the bridge now, but big opportunities to change the organisation and bring back one of the Countries best ever Managers have been missed. Equally as bad decisions as firing the same man near 5 years ago now.
It's not just the losing, it's the manner in which we are doing it. Having sat through every minute of every home game under Jimmy's tenure I can say with confidence that his approach has delivered a style of football that has every ounce of the entertainment factor drained from it. Even if he wasn't totally inept at tactics and team selection (which he is IMO) I'd still want him gone. Truly there is nothing to lose by trying something else.
Absolutely. Nothing to lose by changing direction. Mark Hughes would at least give similar displays. Even against poor opposition, no tactics that JFH has provided have brought us a whole match of quality. Barely even a 45 mins of quality.
I'm sorry but if you can't see past the Newcastle debacle, the Brentford capitulation, oh and the £55 grand greed self inspired conflict of interest then your moral compass is truly knackered not to say downright embarrassing. Personally I blame SLF's personal agenda and Swiss Tony's frankly unbelievable levels of naivety
Sorry guys and I dont mean to be facetious however we didn't play well against Brentford and I would go as far as saying we actually made them look good. If anyone watched the game you would have seen the countless misplaced passes, the over hit passes, the head ball that they spent most of the game doing. In fact nearly every time we headed the ball it went to them. Our keeper just hoofed it out straight back to them. I remember us having a corner and them nearly scoring from it because we couldn't get it past the first defender? JFH played a guy that has just come back from injury. He did the same with Cousins last week. It was a shocking display for a local derby. It's been the same dross nearly all season. I don't claim to know more about football than the guy next to me but I have been going enough years to know this is shockingly bad.
Yeah. As if we're playing in a strangers' stadium, not at home, is what is so confounding. We're at Home! These guys play as if they have no measure of our own pitch.
To remind you if you really like to see entertaining football from us, you can see many ounces of entertainment of great QPR football in the move started by Robinson, involving Luongo's good pass to Chery, Chery's great back heel to Washington, whose shot was too tame to beat the Keeper, just by looking at the first minute of the highlights of the QPR - Brentford game on the Bees Official Site. It was a great move imo, Brentford's commentator thought the same. Pity we didn't see more til late when Pawel came on, then there was more good stuff. Don't bother with our own Officials free i minute highlights, it got cut!
http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/sport...elbaink_s_modern_managerial_methods_1_4759662 Good man James. He'll be starting Saturday now!
With respect to the people who don't go to the matches week in and week out (and I don't mean that as a matter of disrespect before anyway accuses), for us that do...it's becoming a chore.....every week the same old dross, the same old tactical niavety, the same old excuses. I love my team, but like many loyal ST holders around me, I'm strugggling to find a reason to waste my time, my money and my energy to turn up every week and watch the crap that being turned out under the banner of 'entertainment'...'cos that it certainly ain't. I wish I had an answer but I really haven't.....I'm just numb with it all.
