I'm afraid I reached that point two managers ago, under Redcrapp. It is a source of constant surprise, and no little admiration, to me that so many keep on going. I frequently think on a Friday or Saturday morning (or whenever the games happen), right ,I could go to that...then the 3-4 hours round trip and likely standard of 'entertainment' on offer kicks in, meeting the lads at the pub (and then restricted drinking because of driving...) the only upside.

I should add that there are quite a few posters on here who are regulars and who's views I take seriously, and they all say it's crap. Turns out I was the lucky one, went to the Leeds game and started regretting not getting a ST. I don't now.

So there is a rumour...that depresses me so I cannot bother to start a new thread...

If we lose on Saturday....JFH will be replaced by Tim (not nice but definitely dim)

The title of this thread is what do we think now...

So I ask you all..What would you think now....
Do you want to lose to Forest...or is it win at any cost

I'm beginning to think the Aussie's have it right. Whinging Poms is spot on. I'd love to get to the games, if I was living near London, I'd be at most. As it is, I rarely miss one on a combination of live text and highlights if It is not on live TV.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Not Tim 'nice but dim' Sherwood. Does TF ever learn! If that plonk takes over from Jimmy I will turn on TF.
The bloke is a muppet. Why, why why! He will be another failure. He is the last thing we need.

I haven't been to a game the past few weeks (luckily by the sounds of it). I do respect the opinions of those who go week in week out and I think JFH must be close to the sack unless the quality of the football improves considerably in the immediate future.

Please god TF do not make matters worse by appointing Sherwood. If him and Les do that, I want rid of both of them.

    Everyone can't win Col
Our club has a terrible recent history of failure that has eroded the soul of QPR IMO
I am saying there is no better time to realise that as a fan base
Swapping and changing things from a club with our recent history just concedes to today's religion which seems to be football ... It's no wonder people turn away from football and how it is presented

QPR is never dull ... We are lucky in that aspect but somewhere along the way we have been left in a poor state mentally

Fan bases IMO are a opportunity to unite ... You will see many examples of that worldwide where the passion still exists through good and bad times

We are a small club who are continuously infighting and have a legend of an ex player working for the club . I am extremely proud to have Sir Les at our club and think fans that want him out etc are guilty of thinking the grass is greener

JFH is ex Chelsea Cardiff and Leeds but as a player I am prepared to let him try and do something here

I can't see anyone else that would give instant success as they would require their own players and ideas

So in conclusion I say we have a choice that most wanted a fresh new manager backed with a legend on board. If just wanting wins and instant success is the demand then I can't stand with those fans

So if true and it becomes fact then we already want Tim Sherwood out ? Before he has started

It's a bit back to the future

You don't need to go back to the future to know Tim Sherwood is not the right choice.

Hmmmm Timmy. That's it, get a new manager that no one wants to replace the one no one wants (pardon the generalisation)! Way to go QPR!!

So the lifestyle you have chosen is more important to you than being close to your beloved QPR? You made a choice and so do I.

Yes, also the very time consuming UK Visa requirements for my Mrs. We got to the Bristol City game last May but it could be a while again before next time. But I gather you live in the Midlands, not exactly round the corner, so its a bit of the same for yourself, maybe?

No, I don't need a visa to go to Shepherds Bush, even though I am a 'citizen of nowhere', apparently. I just don't enjoy watching crap football in a pretty toxic atmosphere. No motivation except pre match beers. Plus the £35 for a ticket, although I can afford it, is such a ridiculous mismatch in terms of value that I resent it. To be fair the ST ticket prices this season were more reasonable than in recent years, but I have always regarded football as entertainment, like it was when I started to go, and there is no way that I could commit to 23 games (at least five too many even if we were Barcelona) of which 19 will be totally dire because of the (lack of ) quality in this league.

I know I do not fit the identikit 'follow through thick and thin' stereotype of supporting (I have done more than my fair share of thin already). I don't demand success (that would be moronic for a QPR supporter), just something other than dour. Of course if I lived a 30 minute tube ride away I would be there more often than not, but I am just far enough away to make me think about it.

I seem to remember you advocating seasons of consolidation, building from the bottom up, bringing in players from the youth team and lower leagues, which looks roughly to be what we have got. Maybe your expectation level of "entertainment" from when you started to go - challenging for League Championship with Stanley and co mid Seventies? - is a bit high?! Still you must have a long way to go for seasons of consolidation even if you don't need 's visa!

2nd division team when I first went, in many ways my favourite season, when we came second to Burnley. But we had limited resources then just like now and did it.

I'm sure I've advocated everything at some time or other, no shame me. Ideally a consolidation few seasons would be fine, but you have to be seen to be making some kind of progress in blooding young players, style etc, even if not results. Not seeing it at the moment. perhaps the competition to unearth those rare youngsters, lower league players and foreigners is simply too tough now.
