As an O/T what about openly gay posters?

I have to say i met a few posters off here on Saturday, you wouldnt know they were gay on here, and it was so nice to see them being openly gay in a pub.

I though I came across as mildly 'good-spirited' rather than 'gay' - unless you were talking about those other two ... I just thought they were drunk .. who would have known ? but they're still my friends regardless

This is being handed out outside the London stadium ahead of West Ham Vs Chelsea this evening. Aptly timed.

And we're getting laughed at for putting songs on advertising hoardings. This is on a par.

I get it now, I can't remember anything about the game on Saturday, but have had the ****s since. Also lost my season/membership/pass/card thingy. I knew there was something a bit odd about you buying a group of men you'd never met before, a round of whiskys (?).

Football fans have changed. With perhaps the exception of the 'trendy' culture hooligans, I can't imagine too many having discussions on fashion and needing to know much about players lives pre-Euro 96.

These days demands to be involved, petty gossip and fashion seems more prevalent.

It's kind of ironic that the modern trend quite likely plays a big impact on a players decision to announce their sexuality because of the hassle from the intrusion of the press into them and their partners for tittle tattle to fuel the modern supporter.

Nail on head. It's just far easier to keep mum.

And you'd also expect the modern dressing room to be less homophobic, though Andre Greys rants suggest maybe not.
I'm sure I recall recently in a US sport, players were discouraged from coming out because the value of openly gay players was massively reduced?

I genuinely do not care who a player is biffing.

Or where they've gone on holiday.

Or where they live.

All that I give a ****e about is how they play football.

I dont get this obsession with demanding to know everything.

It's not about people needing to know, it's about people not being able to live a normal life like the rest of us, purely because of their sexuality and the fact that they're a footballer.

Nail on head. We know that Ash sells watches now, because it was in the paper.

But do we really care? Did we actually need to know that?

Glad that's all you lost mate. Imagine losing your keys as well and having to have your back door kicked in.
