You’re using murder and sexual assault to justify your stance on this matter.

    You’re being a bit ridiculous...

Maybe go on a “acting and speaking rationally” course.

Ah, so you think it's only LGBT rights that can benefit from "education courses"!?
I can see you must have been on the "How to call people ridiculous without any justification course".

Just normal common sense helped me.
I dont think the older one's could have been helped other than more exposure to the person.
Things are changing more now because there are more LGBT people willing to let people know their sexual preferences, etc.
Some people are simply scared about people they don't know. When they meet them they have more awareness. Simply going on courses wont help.

    Responding with another question.

Check your posts on this thread to see the justification.

I know what I've said on this thread. I dont need to "check" my posts. You seem to think questions are bad. It's not like I haven't given plenty of advice as what could be done or why "educating" people could be bad. People are sick of being told they need to be "educated" about things they are aware of. They think that some people are trying to brainwash them.

I can agree it might be a good idea to suggest things to say and not to say. I am not certain that suggesting you don't ask people what their wife's/husband's name is is good. If somebody is asked that it is a perfect opportunity to explain as Drew has found out. There may be other things that could be explained. If somebody can come up with ideas it might be found to be useful. I just dont go along with the idea of having a course without anybody even coming up with any substantial suggestions. I dont mean a full blown course outline - just a few ideas might be enough to convince me.

This is when education can be used more effectively. Cooking should be taught at school, too. I remember when I left home I bought a book which explained all you needed to know about living independently such as washing clothes, etc. It went into great detail and some people would think the information was obvious but it was good to have something like a complete manual on the subject. Some people might say that parents should teach stuff like that but most don't.

Really? that's not going to go down well in some parts.

Good, so it should be. One country, one set of rules for everyone to uphold equally.

Parents used to be able to opt out but that’s changed.

You should ban this **** from every thread apart from this one. If this is the hill he wishes to die upon, let it be so.

To help with your education can I just point out it should 'to sum up' not 'to some up'.

    You're welcome.

Yes, I sit outside when I can but I've been trying to watch a lot of the football and get work done as well so it's a strain.
