All we need now is the remaining 32 million spent

If you think we still have 32 million left, you are naive.

It was a bit of a joke but seeing as we are being clever. If you think 3 frees and some underfloor heating cost 32 million your naive

Surely not ahead of Jonas, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, (Barton) for a wing berth. Is he really a step up from Routledge as far as cover goes? Both have pace but no end product.

When Jose leaves there will be no reason to play Jonas on the left. He got loads of assists down the right when he played for Mallorca.

Then who plays left? Ferguson's the only natural left winger. Yes a striker is needed, but given that Obertan can cover three positions (including up top) he will be useful.

If Carr has seen potential, then i'm happy with him coming here, i just hope we're still in for a striker

Then who covers Jonas? Feel like I'm batting against a brick wall here. We've got three attacking midfield slots if were playing one striker, left wing, right wing and the Nolan hole. To fit those positions we've Jonas, Fergie, Marveaux and Ben Arfa, plus Vuckic if we're pushing him into the first team. Two injuries and we're buggered, Obertan would be a useful signing.

  13. Lets have a think for a second, we sold Routledge for 2m, we're paying 3m for Obertan, is Obertan 1m better than Routledge? I'd say yes. I'd say he's potentially an awesome player, he just needs a proper run in and some confidence back in him.

We should back him and make him feel loved, and i reckon 3m will seem like a bargain.

Thing is, we have a lot of squad depth in midfield, we need another striker!!!!!

In all seriousness guys, the lad could blossom for us.

    Think about it.
Man U, constant running into space with likes of Rooney and Berba. Relies on players to get balls up and in quick (no time to piss about)

Now you look at our squad, packed with play-makers like Cabaye, Marveux, Ben Arfa etc. Obertan could be in is element with our new "build-up football".

From what I've seen he's been praised for his ability on the ball but cant be completely relied on for his creation like at Man U but now he'll have the option to play the way he wants to and not be under pressure all the time.

Just a positive outlook on what could come to be.

Most, if not all of our (first team~) players in the attack third now will speak French? I'm not going to do formation porn but I'm pretty sure from CM up their is a French speaking core in there. I voted for not bothered either which way, it looks though from what pards has said on that audio link that's been posted that he's likely to join. A bit more pace and flair on the wings won't go a miss, christ isn't that what most people have been complaining about, not wanting to see that long-ball ****e we all hate so much?

I wasnt complaining about the signing of Obertan, I'd be very happy with him if we had already signed a striker. I just dont like how we are essentially wasting time signing a winger which could have been spent on getting a striker.

    Priorities really..

We can't get a striker to join for various reasons I suspect if PSG were not bought we would have Gamerio. I'm still hoping on that turkish **** that doesn't want to come
