Yep, we almost let them in for the draw, just shows that possession and shots on target mean nothing unless more of them go in than your opponents no matter how bad they are/were.
Haig must be livid with this liverpool win, not to mention another goalless draw for spurs, also the sheer embarrassment he must be feeling that the bent liverpool loving officials let his team get away with a few stonewall red cards today. at least when the officials help us out we take advantage
I was talking only about the last 10-15 minutes not the run of play over the course of the game. While I agree fatigue may cause teams to play negatively, it's something which could be managed much better, IMO. If someone could manage to move the ball forward and hold onto it for a minute, everyone could catch their breath. Agree about Traore, though.
So, I know spurs, arsenal and liverpool all missed the chance to go top today. Is noone top now then ? Edit : Just checked. Apparantly i'd got that wrong. I'll get my coat.
Btw, Benitez seems to be doing something of a Keegan at Newcastle. But no matter how many they win this season, it seems almost inconceivable that they could threaten to the top 6 next season, whereas Keegan's side were challenging straight away after promotion. I guess this is a reflection of the money in the game today ?
We'd be very lonely without your company, old sucky old pal. Those cocky Leicester tossers have all but vanished from here after their less than impressive start to the season. But you help keep our feet on the ground, so thank you. Jokes aside, you look far more like a team without Sturridge and have navigated a tricky opening set of fixtures superbly, painful as that is for me to admit . What do you think his future holds? As for us, there's a rather large Harry Kane size hole in the team that grows more obvious by the day. The sooner our prodigal son returns, the better. Should be a decent match on Tuesday. I for one couldn't give a damn about the EFL cup, so I hope Poch gives the kids a chance like he did against the Gills. A trip to Anfield, even if it ends in defeat, would be a great experience for them. Winks, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Onomah, Edwards all have bright futures ahead of them but are struggling to pick up game time. How do you think Klopp will approach the game?
He's as nutty as some of us! He says "I don't blame Wenker,I do blame the sideways,sideways,sideways......."Who is the manager there? He decides how they play.
Nope, a manager sets up the team in a certain way with certain tactics, once on the field he can't tell the players which pass to make.
This sideways football comes from somewhere then. The aim of past teams was to go forward until you attacked the opposing goal or lost the ball. The sideways football of today is designed to keep the ball......and that's down to the managers....and it drives me up the wall.
i agree you are missing kanes hard work up top, annoyingly you are still not losing games though i think i said a goons spurs lfc and city top 4 in no order, ill still go with that so far
