Yes woodbine, we'll never know the answer to that. It will be interesting to see the 'player ratings' form Paddy tomorrow and as you say, it seems as though AN's decision to put Brady back in and sacrifice Pritchard may have backfired.
WHY on earth did we sign him if he's only going to play occasionally?????? <doh>
Don't know but Pritchard has always looked good when he plays, I know the manager see's more than we do, but I don't understand dropping a player who played well in the last game.

I guessed that Brady would offer more defensively than Pritchard and that is why he got the nod. In hindsight, probably the right decision.

Disappointing for sure, but we have to give Fulham some credit for their fightback in the second half. They got the deflected goal and the surge in confidence a goal gives. Haven't seen their second goal yet, but it did sound soft, though Martin took it well by all accounts. The positives for me were that we managed to get on top and control much of the play for the last 20 minutes or so and both substitutions were attacking with Naismith and Oliveira coming on. It could have worked, but at least it gave us an edge in those final minutes. A draw was a fair result in the end, IMO.
It probably was a fair result in the end, but we can't keep giving up a 2 nil goal leads especially when they're sloppy goals.

AN was praising Pritchard only yesterday and then drops him, so he can play Brady!!! None of us can really understand it!!!!

I can see that ocf, but surely 'attack is the best form of defence'??????

Playing Wes and Pritchard together against Rotherham at home made good sense, but IMO it would have left us vulnerable tonight.

Well, let's hope we return to winning ways on Saturday.and then we have our first 'real' test since Newcastle when we're away at Brighton.
Edit - So Newcastle will remain top even if Huddersfield win, as they have the superior goal diffenece.
From the BBC website - "Norwich have now not managed a clean sheet in their last five games"!!
Sort it out AN - PLEASE!!!!!

I agree about Brady. He seems to be just a bit part player this season, where he should be even more effective than in the PL as standard of the the opposition is less.

I'm hoping he won't be in the starting 11 on Saturday.
Just listenedd to AN's post match inerview and he's not making any excuses, though again it seems like individual errors led to Fulham's goals. It sounds as though the team regrouped after Chrissie's 2nd goal and could have gone on to sneak a win at teh end.
My question would be - we have excellent depth in the squad, could he not rotate the players more with so many midweek games????

I counted at least 2 deflections for the first Fulham goal - a wee bit unlucky there but what a nice 2nd penalty from GD.
Yes, it was well past the goal until the defelection off Johansen.
Where was the defence for Fulham's second goal???

Very frustraiting, I am happy with a point as I would have been before the game. Any away point is decent as long as our home form continues.
Once again we have given up a 2 goal lead but at least we not only didn't lose this one, but it sounds like we came back at them and looked like we were the more likely to pinch the game after it went 2-2.
It's a tough call for the manager really. Since Martin came back into the side, we have won most games and accumulated plenty of points, our performances have generally improved too. But did we look more solid with Ryben? Would we be harder to score against if he returned? Because as Neil highlights we are scoring plenty, even in the Newcastle defeat and this draw, we have scored enough to win 90% of the time. So for me time to shake up the defense. It is surely they that continue to undermine our promotion push.

Bah!

Bennett for Rusty would be my choice but I doubt it would be AN's.

As you've stated, I think it comes down to a simple choice between RyBen (or Bassong!) and Martin. The rest of the back 4 have their places firmly cemented. I'd like to see him given another go. We can't keep a clean sheet as it is, and I don't see changing a CB dramatically limiting us as an attacking force. What's the harm in trying it? They say the definition of madness is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

I'm definitely in the 'pro RyBen camp' - Martin has played well in recent weeks, but I just hink that RyBen offers more in aerial battles. I wouldn't even consider Bassong other than if all other CBs were injured.
At least our '2nd 11' should get a chance to show what they can do against the 'mighty' Leeds next Tuesday!!! I'll be at the Beer Festival. <cheers>

Maybe I'm mad for even suggesting it :emoticon-0145-shake, but if either Bass or Klose can play right CB we could give it a go. Both Martin and Bennet look significantly better alongside Klose and Bassong has in the past been better than either Martin or Ryben. So why not? Maybe his habitual FUps may be diminished with Klose? Unlikely I know, but it seems Ryben is less favoured than Martin (I won't pretend to understand why) so if Neil feels the need for a change, might he try it? could that work?
<cracker><cracker>

Bah!
