Maybe imploding is going to happen now? Radio Norfolk Chris Goreham reckons we need to be 10 - 0 up before we believe that we will win!
Newcastle now leading 2-0, Gayle with a 2nd - just for you DD. In the first half the possession was nearly 50/50 and now it's 64/36 to Fulham. We MUST hold on and preferrably get a 3rd goal,
Sounds like it!! As usual. I'm not sure I can continue listening to this. If AN DOESN'T get defensive reinforcements in the January window, then we’re going to be in all sorts of trouble and probably even miss out on the play-offs!!!!
Its just unbelievable, everyones been saying that our back four is solid, but they look like school kids most of the time. We just can't play for 90 minutes, its really weird!
See post #92 which I've just edited. I'd definitely take a point now!!!! 4 minutes of added time!!! Oh well, we've held on for the point. I can't believe how porous our defence has been as usual!!!
Just pleased to get over the line with a draw in the end. Had an air of inevitability about it. I'd have settled for a draw beforehand, but in the context of the game, it was disappointing.
Oh well, a point it is. On reflection it is a good point judging by the way they battered us in the 2nd half but why oh why do we have a mental breakdown at a two goal lead and end up hanging on for grim death (like tonight) or toss it away completely as at the Nukes.
I wonder what excuses AN will trot out in his press conference???? It seems like we were clinging on pretty grimly towards the end and then Jerome had an opportunityt to win it. I wonder if we might see a few changes in the starting 11 for Saturday.
Makes me wonder if we saw Wes and Pritchard in this game it would have been different? they seemed to have a good partnership and understanding. From the sounds of it Brady didn't have a good game again. Disappointing but at least we didn't concede another goal in the 94th minute...
Yes woodbine, we'll never know the answer to that. It will be interesting to see the 'player ratings' form Paddy tomorrow and as you say, it seems as though AN's decision to put Brady back in and sacrifice Pritchard may have backfired. WHY on earth did we sign him if he's only going to play occasionally??????
Disappointing for sure, but we have to give Fulham some credit for their fightback in the second half. They got the deflected goal and the surge in confidence a goal gives. Haven't seen their second goal yet, but it did sound soft, though Martin took it well by all accounts. The positives for me were that we managed to get on top and control much of the play for the last 20 minutes or so and both substitutions were attacking with Naismith and Oliveira coming on. It could have worked, but at least it gave us an edge in those final minutes. A draw was a fair result in the end, IMO.
