I just want to say by the way. I don't particularly like Naismith. I do however think the intense hate is unfair.
Never said I hated him, just think he's crap!

Haha! Call Back!Errr, my gran's next I think!
You hate how he does football.Never said I hated him, just think he's crap!
as he played 78 minutes FEWER!!! Grammar
Yes, I was impressed with Pritchard's contribution today.
Fair point CT!!!I think it is permissible to use less, the subject is the number 78. You could certainly say, for example, that 77 is less than 78.
He can be blamed for being mostly guff though.I don't think there was much hype, as a lot on here didn't want him. Also he can't be blamed for the price tag. That's between Everton, and mainly the fault of Norwich for paying it.
Do you understand?
I'm loathe to get on Naismith's back, because it doesn't achieve anything. I have to say, though, I find the Naismith apologists a little boring.
He's really not that good, and he cost way more than he is worth (in my opinion). The manager seems to agree, and maybe a (late) sub is where he is just now.
I wanted us to pay £10m for Gayle who is on 9 (nine) goals.Personally, I think it's unfair to criticise a player for the amount he cost. We paid an inflated price because it was the January window, but that's not Naismith's fault. Many people on here were more than willing to pay £14m in the summer for McCormack, who so far has scored 2 goals in 6 games for Villa and is struggling to get into their starting line-up. Naismith will have to fight for his place like any other player and even more so now after Pritchard had such a good game yesterday, but I'm glad we have him as an option.

You quite rightly use the potential purchase of the overrated 30 year old Scot as a "careful what you wish for" moment but the failure to buy Gayle even though we were heavily linked but didn't want to pay the fee Newcastle did was foolish.I had a feeling that was coming DD!![]()
Could it just be that seeing how well AP played yesterday and how well he linked up with Wes that SN feels he has to up his game to even be on the bench???
I've just listened to Canary Call and most callers who had been at the game commented on how well that pairing worked.

Gayle scored a hat full for Palace and is different class in this league.
I think we could have got him if we didn't faff about with derisory offers we nearly signed him in January we should have gone all out in the summer.I added more to my post about Gayle, DD, so I'll repeat it here. "I don't think we had a chance for Gayle once Newcastle came in and although a think he's a very good Championship striker, I'm less sure he'd be an asset if we get promoted."
I think that's right, Braveheart, and that's the way it should be. I have a feeling that Wes will be rested against Fulham so Pritchard can have a go at AM with either Brady or Naismith on the left, though Howson may also be available from what AN said after the match.

But as mentioned earlier, with the gift of hindsight [which only one or two on this forum are privy toPersonally, I also think it's unfair to criticise a player for the amount he cost.
