I think I've seen us win away in London four times in 20 years of being a regular matchgoer. Chelsea, Brentford, Charlton and today. I was living abroad most of the Warnock season so missed the win at Palace. Never seen a win at Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Millwall or Orient. We played Barnet when I was about 3.

Same as mate. I used to go all the time back in the day but family/work/getting older and travelling to France all the time stops me. All the times I have watched us lose at the Ruperts and I missed today. <doh>

I was in direct line and looked barn door from there.
Don't go to many away games but was hugely impressed with the atmosphere we created. Why can't we generate that at LR every match? Different set of fans? Uninspiring football?

Arsenal, I remember it well!
I was there when Jensen scored and Gallen/Allen and Impey!
I was in the away end with 6 other QPR fans and was going absolutely mad when we scored. I few Gooners told me to shut up but they could see I was drunk and laughed at me rather than punch me.
They had a fanzine called '1-0 down 2-1 up' and that was all you could hear before the game from the seller. After the game I stood next to him and shouted "get your Arsenal fanzine 1-0 up 3-1 down"! :1980_boogie_down:

We used to beat the London teams all the time, home and away, especially Arsenal, in the seventies mate. I'll trade you my memories for your age.



Actually I've just looked this up, and we didn't. One of the benefits of aging is that you can make things up about the past and believe them. And hide your own Easter eggs.

We always seem to get a good crowd performance at the Cottage for whatever reason. I think it's the huge roof and the layout and it being a local derby. As a ground I quite like the cottage, it's a good size and it has good facilities and it only takes me half an hour to get there.

Loftus Road would be better if we could get all the singers behind the goal in both the upper and lower loft. The family stand ( in which I sit ) has killed a lot of the atmosphere.

I was there too. It was New Years eve. I remember going home and getting pissed and singing, I was there when Jensen scored.

Was New Year's Eve 94 if memory serves ellers, I ended up on an all dayer and nighter afterwards but I was a lot younger then. Great memories.

It was a great header, I was right behind it and thought he was going to put it wide. I couldn't believe when I saw the net bulge. It was a fantastic moment.

Haven't had time to get on here today so not sure how others saw it, but here's my two cents.

First of all, what a game. Was emotionally exhausted at the end of it, and delighted with the three points. We rode our luck (sometimes massively), and if your neutral you wouldn't be far wrong to say a draw/Fulham win would have been a fair result. The back 4 needs a lot of work. Personally thought Hall had another poor game.

Special mention to shodipo and luongo, who were both magnificent, full of energy and running. Mass is fast becoming the first name on the team sheet. Henry, whilst not having a bad game, looked like he was chasing shadows at times. Chery did set up the winner but once again, wasn't involved enough for me, especially when we began to lose the midfield battle.

Another special mention to the referee, who was such a homer ref it was untrue. Did everything he could to stop us winning that game, made it even the more sweeter! And what a way to win, two missed pens, great action right to the final whistle. COYR's!

I did wonder why they'd given us so many tickets but the way the stand is configured it's all or none - unlike the school end.
Any new stadium must take the creation of atmosphere hugely into acount.

Been out all day, but feel drained just reading this thread and watching the highlights........

Great result and what a way to end a traumatic week, pleased for everyone connected with the club and the fans that made the trip......
