On way home from Fulham and the pub was showing that Eamon, hope you won't be offended that I wanted Mayo to win. Close game though.
Listened on 94.9 it seemed like wave after wave attacks from Fulham & was under cost for long periods, but give due we hanged in there & gave a lot In attack which is surprising, it sounded great on radio when Sylla scored & commentators where stunned at smash & grab raid, happy days
I had three pints of it last night and lost half my body weight this morning so knew it was going to be a good day.
The same Lee Mason who sent off Shaun Derry at Old Trafford when Ashley Young did his Tom Daley act...
That's the one, although he has been the ref in some of our greatest victories in recent years. As well as today he was in charge when SWP had his only good game for us when we beat Chelsea 1-0 away. He was also the ref who sent off O'Neil in the playoff final, three great memories. In all he has reffed us 12 times - 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats - dating back to 2006 and that 3-3 draw at WBA when they equalised in injury time.
Was also the ref for the playoff final and the 1-0 win at Chelsea (where he completely bottled sending Marin off if anyone remembers). He loves us really.
1980 was the year I started going to away games to see the R's. As I keep reading today, 1980 was the last time we won at Craven cottage. The circle is complete - cheers!
